Really good teacher. I had him in 2004, I'm not sure if he's still teaching or not. Is caring enough, to grade the speeches partly on just making an effort. It doesn't have to be perfect. He makes the class atmosphere really relaxed. It's not scary.

Is a very fun and interesting person! I rec him if you are a nervous spkr because he makes the atmosphere much more laid back. Class was ten times more enjoyable then I thought it would be because of this.

I am so glad I got a chance to have this professor! I was okay with public speaking, but my classmates were quiet and rude, and that didnt help before my first speech, Jerry was soo helpful to get people to just relax, and he helped me to become a better speaker!! I would definitely recommend, and would take another class from Jerry :)

This teacher changed my life!!!! Before his class, I was a bumbling idiot, not able to speak in front of anyone. His compassion and understanding towards his students is incredible. I have no problems speaking in front of people now. Since speech is required at IUSB, I strongly urge you to take his class.

Jerry was what made this class fun for me. i dreaded this class but the speeches were easy and graded fairly. if you show up in class and make an effort, he will reward you. great sense of humor. ask him about the ghost story. :-)
