Prof. Armstrong is great and she makes the material really easy to understand. If you don't slack off and you study hard you'll do fine. Some people have a hard time comprehending the material but it's very clear what you need to study and her practice tests are exactly like her real ones.

Comment:
JRNL 1100 is a very rough, rigorous class that you must constantly study for if you want to make an 83 or higher on each test (which is how you pass). This isn't Prof Armstrong's fault, it is just how it is set up to get into your major. She really tries to be helpful and tends to be lenient on your absences because she knows it is repetitive.

JRNL1100 was a hard class but professor Armstrong made it a fun learning experience and explained everything really well. You have to study if you want to pass, a lot of people don't pass the first go around. I did, but it took a lot of effort. Armstrong was really helpful and encouraging to students the whole way through!

She's great! She makes the class easy to comprehend yet at the same time challenges students on story assignments. The tests are super easy, and the only grades besides the stories. I had her for JRNL 1100 and dreaded hearing her monotone this semester, but she's actually a very sweet lady and an extremely capable journalist. Easy B, Difficult A.

Professor Armstrong is GREAT. I did not pass JRNL 1100 the first time around, but most students do not. Armstrong was so helpful to me the second time around and genuinely cared and wanted me to be successful. She knows the class she teaches is hard and tries her best to help students. I would love to take a class with her again.

This was the second class I had with Professor Armstrong and I wish had her for more. Genuinely cares about her students, has great insights and even took the time to give me input on an essay that had nothing to do with her class!

This is the class where you have to make an 83 on every test in order to pass. Armstrong will do a good job of telling you what material is on every test, but whether you pass or not is on you. This class sucks no matter who you have. My advice is to study the material often, if you cram you're not doing yourself any favors.

She is such a great teacher! Knows everything about the material. A lot of people do not do well in this class but if you pay attention in class and study out of the packet it is not hard. I made an A.

Mrs. Armstrong is one of my favorite teachers! She knows the material inside and out -- and there is a lot of it. She shows you how to apply all the rules to your writing, so don't just memorize everything just to make good grades on the tests.

If taking JRNL 110, I'd recommend avoiding. Reads straight from the material and really isn't helpful at all. You really gain no benefit from going to class.

Ms. Armstrong is one of my most favorite professors that I have ever had! She is extremely helpful and she truly cares about your grade. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. She would stay up almost the entire night grading our tests so we can see our grades the next morning online. TAKE HER FOR JRNL 1100!

Had Armstrong for my last class senior year and loved it! It was advanced feature writing and we read good material, had one project throughout the entire semester and I LEARNED a lot about this type of writing. Also allows 4 unexcused absences- which was awesome
