Dr. Suchy is *the best* harp prof ever. She is loving, caring, and always full of joy! She will really care about you. She always has something good to say. As my harp prof, she is always willing to take time out of her schedule to help me out with something. She even takes me out to dinner! She also has a cute doggy she brings in everyday!

Dr. Suchy is a great professor. At times the class is a bit fast paced however, she is always willing to give help outside of class. If a student is struggling she will do everything in her power to get them to pass.

Suchy is great. A lot of my friends say she's a tough teacher, and to be fair, she's got high expectations. But at the end of the day, you'll have learned a lot, improved your basic musicianship skills, and if you work hard, have a great reference. She's an incredible teacher and mentor, and anyone who has the chance to study with her is lucky.

Dr. Suchy-although challenging is an amazing professor. She is intelligent yet sweet enough to make you feel comfortable even during a ridiculously challenging Sight Singing test. Dr. Suchy was always available for some extra help and also for some great counseling. Having her as an assistant tennis coach was the icing on the cake. Dr. Suchy is inspirational, amazingly talented at the harp, and although her class is difficult she managed to motivate and encourage her class.

Comment:
She tends to fly by material, and it gets very confusing for people who haven't taken theory before. Don't get me wrong shes a very nice teacher, but there are just somethings that you have to know about her in order to pass. Always to the log sheet, every homework assignment is graded, make sure you have a TON of index cards, and never forget to study your Sight singing. Oh yeah ... If your lost your better off going to a different teacher or friend. Other than that there are cookie fridays!

She's very helpful, but sometimes, she will not make an sense to the entire class and just go off topic completely. Regardless, she's a really sweet person. Oh, and her dog that looks like an Ewok is the best!

I was scared to death when I found out I had her for theory. However, now that my undergrad work is over, I am so grateful for having her. She will improve your sight reading. Sightsinging selections every day force you to improve. She is usually in her office for extra help. She often brings in cider and cookies is always smiling. Cool dog too!!

I'd taken Theory before, but for some reason, when I switched to her class, it just CLICKED. She is such a warm-hearted deeply caring person. She came over with baked cookies at 3 in the morning on 9-11-01 when my friend's dad passed away. I love her.
