I had her for math 110. I got a C. If you want to know what killed me, it was that it was too easy. I missed test questions because the answer was so obvious that I was certain I was missing something. Otherwise, its really simple because she outlines the book and will spend half an hour on the easiest thing if you are having trouble w it.

Mrs Dumesnil is a good teacher as far as college math profs go. She also teaches a middle school class so she tends to act like you're on their level instead of in college- but it actually helps bc she goes over things slow. Tests aren't that hard, and she goes over what you need to know if you go by her office. Always there to help.

Tough, but fair. Like most Liberal Arts majors, I do not like math. Dr. D. makes it bearable, and explains things in "every day" language. She can be blunt, but is willing to help anyone who tries. Sorry to see her leave.

Dr. Dumesnil is one of the best professors I have ever had at SFA. I don't like math very much but I loved this class. She tried to make class as fun as she could and is always there to help you whenever you need anything (just stop by her office) and I am very sad she is leaving SFA.

Very helpful professor, I really enjoy her class. The tests and notes come directly from the book, so if you are absent one day, it will be easy for you to catch up. Has a teacher assistant who is very helpful. Hard class, but mathematics is not supposed to be easy anyway.

Her class is boring but what math class isn't. I've never asked her for help just her assistant who has always been helpful. her notes are straight from the book, so if you miss then it is easy to catch up. She is easy to ask questions to; she isn't scary.

She shoots from the hip, for sure, but if you show you are willing to learn the material, she'll go the extra mile to help you. If you work with her, she won't let you fail. I've failed every MTH class except this one. Just attend class.

mean, cold, talks too fast, doesn't help, i went to her to talk to her about help and she didn't care. me and another girl went to her the day of the final-she helped her, not me she doesn't care about anyone but her favorites. WORST TEACHER EVER!

Maybe she has gotten better since I had her but she is full of herself. I went to her office to get a sylabus like on the 2nd class day and I walked up and smiled and said hello and she just frowned and looked at me.And YES she does make you feel dumb.

She's actually not as bad as everyone says she is. If you do the homework and ask questions about it the next day she works the problems out in class for us. If you don't do the homework then you probably will fail the class.
