I enjoyed professor Castonguay's class a lot and found it very helpful in understanding the media world. i would reccomend it to anyone, even those outside the major. He did a great job of engaging with the class and the materials and explained things in a clear way. It wasn't a hard class, but it was a good one. I hope I have more llike it.

I took it as an online winter class, so it was definitely intensive but i got more out of it i think than i would have an in person class. If you take it online, post post post and just say everything and anything BUT relate it to the readings. You get 5 assignments to do over the 8 days...he is completely honest with you with your progress

If you've taken one of these classes, the others are almost exactly the same. Jim is a great professor, his classes are interesting, but they're all somewhat similar. Most classes have a weekly journal, no tests, and a final paper of about 10 pages. I highly recommend his classes.
