If you want to learn anything DO NOT take this class. We watched three movies and he missed class 4 times, and two of those times he did not send out an email either. You have three simple projects, and I'm pretty sure he does not even read them. Also, he doesn't put grades in until the end of the semester, so you do not know what your grade is.

Basically, I did not learn anything new. He was not well organized, and he did not give our work back in timely manner. Also, he did not put all grades for papers up in Blackboard which left me curious about my final grade. Although I emailed him, he did not try to clarify my concern.

Take it with him if you just want to get the credit. If you want to learn take it with someone else. Class can be very boring, I've wanted to fall asleep and to skip class too many times . Very easy to pass the class, just do the essays.

A firm believer that art shouldn't be graded. Reflective on his style of teaching. Follow the guidelines he provides and participate in workshops and get a passing grade. Funny guy!

This class was the easiest thing I have ever done. I've put in minimal effort towards my papers and gotten A's on both, and whenever he doesn't feel like teaching we just watch Michael Moore documentaries. Super nice guy but sometimes he just reads straight out of the textbook. The textbook is not necessary.

So easy. I am bad at writing but received above a B on every paper. He showed up about 75 percent of the time. and we watched 3 movies in class. Don't take if you want to learn

Mr. Hayes is really teaching to help students. I had him and he really works with you, especially if writing is not your strong suit. He was a good guy! I would take him again for sure. Also make sure you attend every class

Take him if you hate English and just want to pass. Very easy, laid back, and helpful. 3 papers 2-3 pages each double spaced, 1 5 page research paper. Get out early all the time plus watch movies as well. If you show up for classes he will basically pass you no matter what.

Good teacher. Hes pretty easy. In class writings and 3 essays and 1 research paper on Hidden America. Classes are kinda boring, but I've had worst. He lets you out early alot. You watch several movies too. You have to read passages out of the textbook too. He doesnt really care if you dont though. He lets the class get away with a lot which is nice

This was his first time teaching Shakespeare so I am not sure he knew exactly how he wanted to run the class. There were 3 papers but he did not give much detail about how they would be graded. Most students liked how the lack of structure but I would have preferred a little more. Regardless, he is very friendly and I would still recommend him.

He was my EN 101 professor and I LOVED HIS CLASS! It is an Easy A, as long as you do the work. The only homework we had was just 4 essays throughout the entire semester, and then a research paper at the end of the semester. I really wish I would've had him for EN 102 :(

Mr. Hayes does not teach anything. Our class was supposedly "Honors" but all we did was watch movies & listen to Mr. Hayes try to talk about the book we were reading. Only 4 essays, but no help with improving your writing. If suffering through a painfully boring class for an "easy A" is worth it to you, this is your class. Otherwise, AVOID!

Prof. Hayes class was a waste of time & money. He cancelled class multiple times and I don't think he ever kept us for the entire class time. I can honestly say that I didn't learn anything in his class. We watched movies that had nothing to do with the essays we were writing. Complete waste of time. Take if you want an easy A.

I don't know if he actually read my papers they were terrible. But I got a good grade in the class and that was all I really cared about. If you show up to class most of the time he will give you a good grade. If you participate you will have an easy time in the class.

Professor Hayes is an awesome teacher. He is truly helpful and forgiving. One of the nicest professors I've had. He's very laid back and relaxed and he not much into the hours long lecturing. He always has an open door for questions. Not an easy A but he'll help you get it, if you ask for the help and show your interest. I highly recommend him!!

One of the easiest teachers I've had. He doesn't give u much work and is a fair grader. Very nice person. He usually extends the deadline for a paper and the papers only have to be 3 pages long. My brother recommended him to me and I would recommend him to anyone. With a decent amount of work, his classes are at least an easy B. Awesome teacher.
