Comment:

Professor Henderson is a fantastic drawing teacher. He really pushes you to challenge yourself artistically and is very encouraging while offering students constructive criticism. I definitely saw an improvement in the quality of my artwork after this class. I didn't even purchase the book, got an A. Hope to take him again for Drawing 2.

Comment:

Professor Henderson is a very good teacher. Has many different options of things for you to draw, or bring in things of your own to draw. The homework questions were word for word from the textbook and very easy to find. absolutely loved this class.

Probably the worst classes Ive ever taken. Seriously, such a waste of time and money. Every morning I have to wake up to go to his class is awful. If youve ever taken a real art class, or are a graphic design major, dont take his class unless you hate yourself. I could seriously write a whole book on him if the character limit wasnt 350.

Mr Henderson is not a great teacher but he wants his students to love art. He's pretty laid back. If you show up to class, put some effort into your work, and actually listen to what he has to say, you will get an A. His tests are usually still lives that you do in class. There is really no work outside of class.

Henderson teaches impressionism and does not like modern or abstract art. "loosen up" is a phrase you will hear throughout the semester. He's very chill, all of the classes consist of everyone drawing for 2 hours, tests are the same as regular class days. Very EASY CLASS, just be willing to learn his style. He's not strict about attendance.

Mr. Henderson is the best. His class is fun and relaxed. Everyday was the same, we would pull out our giant pads and draw. Mr. Henderson is very comical and will make you laugh. He is also very helpful. If you don't get it or you need help, just ask he will be more than happy to help and will not walk away until you give him the okay. He is great!!

After graduating, he has inspired me to continue on with my Bachelor's degree in Art. I cannot say enough about him and his teachings. They might be "old" but they work and he teaches so well. My drawing skills improved on such a tremendous level that I honestly could not believe! He genuinely takes the time that nobody else would to help others.

Mr. Henderson is by far the best, and my favorite, teacher that I have ever taken. I never write reviews, but I just had to clarify some of the comments I was seeing under his name. Of course teachers want their students to be interested in the work that they are creating! It just exemplifies that Mr. Henderson does his job, and does it WELL.

This class is the worst! I've been painting my whole life and this guy sucked all the joy out of it for me. Unless you want to pant sloppy bowls of fruit with no instruction whatsoever for a semester I would suggest you pass. He also demeans you if you are into any form of modern art and calls it amateur and cartoony. Worst class ever!

He's a super easy teacher. He makes you sign yourself into class most days, so half the time he doesn't notice if you don't show up. However I did not enjoy his class because I felt like he had very set deas in his head about art and taught only what he liked. He tries to smother you with it. I will never take another art class because of this.

Henderson is so old and absent minded that it makes his class crazy easy! You barely even have to show up to class and you'll still get an A. He is a nice guy, but he does give special attention to the better artists,(which is kinda lame). Don't get on his bad side be being dis respectful in anyway, or he will give you a hard time forever...

This class is GARBAGE. From the first day, he has picked on me, ridiculed me, made fun of me and my paintings, yelled at me, and claimed I had a bad attitude when defending myself. Note, he has not taught me a single thing. NOTHING. Why did I pay over $300 for the class, and over $50 in supplies? I have no clue. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

One of the worst classes Ive taken. Drawing and painting are my biggest hobbies. In his painting classes, he rushes you and wants at least one sloppy painting a day; if you try to take your time to make paintings that are nice and non-impressionistic, you will get a C. I took him for art history and it was the most dull class based on memorization.

Personally, his class is my favorite one i'm taking right now. He's a really nice guy and the class is really laid back. He is also very helpful whenever you need help and can clearly tell you what you're doing wrong. I would definately recommend this class to anyone who loves art. Henderson=KEWLNESS

If you aren't already motivated then you might not learn much in his art classes. I've taken several with him and he is very helpful and nice, so I enjoyed them anyway. Just don't expect a challenge! Most students get away without doing assignments and working on their own projects. The freedom is nice, but not what I needed to improve my art.
