By far fav professor. He is funny, wise, and challenging. PHI202 is a piece of cake if you do the reading (which there is alot of). Follow the study guide for tests. His humor is something one warms up to. PHI371 is a bit harder -In all of his classes just do the reading and you will get that coveted A

Dr. Spiegel is smart, funny, and easy to understand. His tests are not the hardest if you study the lecture notes and pay attention. He doesn't try to trick you, and is more interested in in encouraging meaningful conversation and making people reevaluate their beliefs than anything else.

Although he seriously makes me think of Jeremy Pivon and he seems to have a larger-than-normal obsession with James Dean...Spiegel is a great prof...he's very challenging...he listens to his students and he doesn't lord over them. I loved taking this class with him!

one of the best teachers/mentors i've ever had. good at lectures. write good notes and memorize them for the tests! take advantage of his office hours, he can talk intelligently on any topic not just philosophy.
