Don't really have any complaints. His lectures were a little dull but they were clear and concise and he did the best he could considering the content. The course work itself is all case studies and he's clear with the expectations so as long as you set sometime aside to get them done you won't stress too much.

The prof firstly delayed hiring a GA for the class for the first 3 weeks, setting us behind in our labs, which were supposed to prepare us for our midterm, though since we were behind, this did not give us enough information to be prepared. Additionally, during the lectures, the professor did not provide slides or any helpful course information.

Alright prof, he doesn't really explain much and his lectures are pretty vague in terms of content. The book is mandatory in order to complete the project and it will definitely be required in order to do well on the midterm and final exam.

Jim Tam is a decent professor. He wants everyone to learn how to become a professional. There are little things that you should keep in mind that he says that would help you down the line. The textbook is essential to read as Jim Tam even says. His lectures go over a brief overview but should definitely go over textbook.

Talks about irrelevant topics in class and doesn't clarify questions people have. You have to read the lecturestextbook yourself before class as he doesn't even review the chapters there. Didn't learn a thing from going to class, learned it all on my own the day before exam.

This prof is by far the worst, switch as soon as you have the chance. He takes forever to give marks back and he is unapproachable. Take him if you want to lower your GPA lol.

Okay prof. Gives us a project months in advanced without teaching us the material to do the project until a couple of days before it is due. Also around the same time as finals. Took 2 weeks to hire TAs so we didn't have labs for about 3 weeks. Very unorganized. Okay lecturer. Material wasn't too hard but I'd avoid this professor in the future.

Profs okay, he does not mark the cases, he just assigns a random average to different students. I got 78-80% on every case, and a student in my class with a 1.9 GPA got the same grades. He will give you the option for an in class or take home exam DONT DO THE IN CLASS! The take home Is a case study from the text. My class made the wrong choice.

So apparently he screwed over the last semester's ITM207 class and I was faced with either him or Dong. He is the better of the two prof's but not much. His lectures are pretty dull but they contain the information needed to do well in the course(he tries to be funny, A for effort I guess). The course itself was good easy A. Project was long though

Don't buy into the hype. Worst prof for ITM207, switch him if you have the opportunity, the TAs screw you over big time with the in-class labs, his midterm exam was easy, his final was horrible. He keeps you entertained during his lectures, and thats about it....

Professor Tam is a very intelligent man who has many years of IT experience. By his own admission, the textbook is dry. Likewise, his approach to using Visio directly for the group project will prove helpful in the years to come. If you have questions from him he is quite helpful. In the end, you need to memorize from the book.

The course was alright but i personally found it boring. Tests are multiple choice but can get complicated unless you understand it completely. The group assignment can be somewhat overwhelming if you don't prepare for it. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Jim is a very good professor. He knows his stuff, and tries to get the class to understand the material. Although his tests/assignments/exams are hard, if you study hard and DO NOT fall behind, you will do good.

If you put effort towards this course, you will do fine.Tam tries to explain the concept, but sometimes goes off topic. Just read the book even if it's a little dull.

I found the course material very interesting. Understanding it requires paying attention in class. Don't slack off! The material can be dry; however, Mr Tam tries his best to keep us awake.

Like everyone else said: Read the book, memorize the definitions, and you'll do fine. His stories are interesting, but the lectures are really boring. Went into the class not interested in ITM (about to change programs), and he certainly hasn't made me want to stay.
