Probably a much better poet than teacher. Having said that, his class has kicked my writer's block all the way to the moon. I feel as though I am stretching my boundaries, and the reading material he assigns is very helpful in aiding that. Two negatives: He grades oddly, and he doesn't know when to let up. Other than that, I have no real complaints.

He's fantastic, but I can totally understand why a lot of people hate him. He's rambling and the syllabus means literally nothing, but he's also really inspiring, has a great speech-pattern, and if you're interested in the material, he really lets you engage it. And the pants!

Outstanding professor. If you're interested in poetry, you need to take his workshop. Have to second the "best fashion on campus" comment. hands down. Didn't find him to be a hard grader. Great workshop comments, very helpful.
