Along with Mr. Korn, he is the best teacher I've had here at ECU. You really learn a lot of stuff that you'll actually need out in the real world. Very down to earth and will do as much as he possibly can to help you in any way.

It is a shame that the person who got the IDIS program up and running is not going to be at ECU anymore. He is the best teacher I've ever had. He will get you in check when you need it. Everything he tells you is good advice. ECU made a terrible decision to let him go.

Awesome guy!! He's more of a mentor than a teacher and takes pride in his students. He wants you to succeed so he is very helpful. Unlike other college professors he has been out in the work field and knows what tools you need to succeed. Too bad ECU is getting rid of one of their best professors.

Greatest Teacher I've ever had. Will absolutely prepare you for the real world better than anyone at ECU. Trust me...I've already graduated, and what Dr. Toppen taught me is far greater than the knowledge gained from a text book.
