Not as bad as everybody says. Go to class for group quizzes and if you read you'll be fine. The homework is pretty much busy work. Do the extra credit and you will be fine.

Learned nothing in this class. Avoid this duo at all costs. Do not make the mistake I did in noticing the awful reviews and continuing anyway. If you have to, put this class off until you are sure you can get in with another professor(s). Assigns hundreds of problems and covers 2 or 3 in an entire 1hr30m lecture. We deserve better as students!

Test are difficult. only teachers so you have to take them. Extra credit DO IT! it helps in the end. The half with Oestreich is chill the group quizzes are semi hard. The paper he basically gives you a 20 Also there are more points up for grabs then he actually takes so it's an opportunity for extra credit also. 2 ds on test. Still Got a B

He doesn't lecture at all, you have to teach yourself. His exams make no sense. He will spend 95% of the class time talking about irrelevant stuff and the last 5 minutes of class completing one problem. If you look around the class at anytime, you'll find most of the class asleep or daydreaming. Unfortunately he's the only that teaches 325.

This guy takes the cake at being the WORST professor I have ever had. He doesn't lecture or do any teaching, he'll stand in front of the class with and expo marker in his hand talking about everything but the material that we're covering. Eveveryone fails the exams, there is a small curve but no overall class curve, what you get is what you get

He doesn't really do a lot of teaching. He will do a few problems from the book and ramble on the rest of class. There are no powerpoints or anything so it's easier to pass if you read the taxation textbook and do all the practice problems on your own. Gives one extra credit assignment for 15 points.

Him and Oestreich are the only ones that teach this class. SDSU really needs to replace these two old guys who try to teach students but really do nothing but ramble one about nonsense and repeat off their terrible power point slides. Tests are impossible and everyone in the class has no idea what they are doing and fails. but there is a curve & EC

Williamson tries to be a funny guy but comes across as obnoxious but he is the only guy that teaches the class so suck it up. The quiz and test are tough. Buddy up with someone in the other section he teaches and study their quiz for the exam its your only hope for doing well. Do all extra credit and ready the huge book it really does help.

Williamson & Oestriech are the only professors that teach this 1 class. Both should retire. Exams are hard. Practice HW problems & read the book, do all ex-credit. You think 1 bad professor sucks, try having two bad professors. Worse and not as bad professor.

Open notes/books but you only have limited time with so many pages to look into! Do the extra credit for this will really help you in the end. I didnt do it but luckily I passed. Best of wishes coz Williamson and Oestrich are the only ones teaching this course...*yikes*

Open book and open notes for tests so make sure you highlight everything you need before the test. You wont learn much from the teacher but his stories are funny anf make the class somehow interesting.. Make sure you do the extra credit paper, it'll boost your grade.

Good guy. His anecdotes are funny. His part of the class is easy as hell. Open book and notes for the class. Also, do the 20 pt essay at the beginning because he doesn't even read it and just gives you the pts. It'll make up for the harder part of the course with oestrich. 2 midterms under him both mult choice and a couple quizzes which are cake

This is what you get with tenured professors. This guy doesn't teach you anything. Just go to class to get the handouts, do the extra credit essay (you'll need it to make up for Oestriches test), highlight the textbook and mark really good because you can use it on the exams and you can get an A in this class, unfortunately you wont learn anything.

Knows material, too many tangents. Expectations are good, doesn̢۪t expect you be an expert because he knows Finance maj probably won̢۪t use after his class so why memorize, just understand concepts. Only major complaint is that homework answers are only available if you go to his class, very difficult to learn in that environment with limited time.

Tax portion of this class was easier than the acctg portion imo. Just have to be interested in taxes to do well in the first two tests. Class was not that hard. 4 quizes and an extra credit paper. Lets you use all your notes and the book for tests.
