Unwilling to accommodate to students needs, labs are challenging and should be basically completed before hand. OnQ is not used throughout the course so you really have no way to track your mark. Midterm average was a 40% and not curved.

He is a good teacher, very professional speaks clearly. Be on time and go prepared to labs. He attends all labs and has office hours. His lectures are not to bad but are slow due to the detail and clarity he goes into. (Not necessary to attend all to pass the course) He repeats passed questions for midterms and finals.

He's very meticulous and clear. His slides are useless, so you have to go to class or learn the from textbook. Exams are very similar year to year, so you know what to expect. Great professor.

Comment:

Really good professor. Dr. Manjikian is probably the best educator in the faculty. He has a very fair and consistent marking scheme and expectations. Do the labs (which are actually fun) and if you're going to skip lecture or tutorial, skip lecture. Tutorial questions will show up, slightly modified, on tests. Always helpful if you ask for help.

Prime example of how a well structured course does not necessarily equal a well taught course. Not the greatest teacher or lecturer, tutorials are essential, main reason people pass his course is since his repetitive structured-ness.

Knows how to structure a good course, very effective. An ECE prof who actually CARES about teaching, but not a good lecturer - very hard to actually pay attention, even if you are interested in the material. No surprises and quizzes or tests - very clear about what is expected.

Very clear, well structured and well prepared. Expectations are very clear and he does his best to make sure you learn the material. Absolutely no surprises in quizzes/exams. His problems are often ambiguous and he is very bad at clarifying or answering questions, but pay attention in class and you should figure out what he is looking for.

A good professor. But teaches way too fast and way too much content for a 12 weeks course. Survived the finals only because he repeats the questions and we did the past finals (he is been teaching this for almost a decade now !!!)
