Dr. Yuan is AMAZING! Do not get nervous about her broken English.... you will be just fine. She actually cares and gives you all the right tools to get an A in her class. Lots of reading, but she is very understanding and helpful of what we have going on. Anytime you need her, she is there to help. No matter when or where it is. LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!

Easiest professor I've ever taken. She truly cares about her students and I did actually learn in her class. She is a very easy grader and her classes can be a bit boring but if you're looking for an easy A, this is the class for you. There are only two tests: a midterm and a final. Dr. Yuan is very knowledgeable

If you like playing games on your computer and using google translate for lectures then take this class. In all seriousness though, you take two tests and homework is graded, but you can turn it in whenever and she will not count it late. There is also a group project due that is pretty easy. Yimei is awesome

Dr. Yuan is a solid choice for philosophy. She genuinely cares about her students and the material she teaches. Some concepts are difficult but she makes them easy to understand. She should be the standard by which all other professor are judged. If you have the chance, definitely take her class.

At first this class seems pretty ridiculous, but it is not too bad. You learn to really enjoy Yuan. She is a really easy grader and willing to help you understand. She really does mean well. I would take her if you have to take phl250.

Dr.Yuan has gotten a bad rap for not speaking English well, but really she is a very talented prof. It's not a hard class. Make an effort and you'll be rewarded. She is also just plain interesting. Be sure you read the Kant book. Everything else she explains in class and very well. Kant is just kind of hard. If you get the chance take her class!!!!

She truly cares about her students and is very kind. I barely put effort into this class and received an A. Her English isn't the best but understandable enough. You may laugh at her, but if you view her in an ethnocentric perspective, you'll see that she is very intelligent and knowledgeable of what she teaches.

Yes, she's hard to understand, but is super nice and always willing to help. All of the projects are super easy and you do learn from them. Tests are straight forward and even though her notes have grammar errors, she brakes it down into really simple concepts. She's always willing to help and answer questions. Take her!

I never listen to her bc I don't understand her but I still have a good grade. She makes us do projects and discuss because she can't teach or explain anything. She is a nice lady but not helpful in helping me understand anything.

Avoid her at all costs, which is difficult since she seems to teach most of the God and Persons classes. How they could hire a professor that cannot speak English and cannot type in English is beyond me. The coursework isn't too bad, but she can't read a calendar either, so stuff gets scheduled on weekends and days class isn't. Thanks Creighton!

She's pretty nice, but her English is so bad. There are times where she will ask a question and the room is silent because no one knows what she said. It translates into her typing as well. She teaches the majority of the sections for this required core class, which really is a poor decision on Creighton's part. No offense to her.

she's a very nice woman. she had the class over for dinner to make us a chinese meal. while she can be hard to understand at times, she really cares for students and their progress. I really didn't put in that much work and got an a. I thought she was a doll. I recommend her.

She was hard to understand at first but you get used to it. The class is fairly easy and she is very helpful if you need it. She likes essay tests, but if you understand the reading you will be fine.
