Comment:

The best teacher to learn calculus from. Amazing board work. Solves all home work problems in class. Very organized and helpful both in and out of class. However don't expect him to pass you if you are lazy and not ready to put in the type of effort and work this class demands. Tests and quizzes based on class and home works. Uses Webassign.

Prof. Arndt is an angel! She may not be the best teacher, her lectures are all over the place, but she will answer all questions and is there to help you with anything you need. Tests are fair. I didn't like the class when I first started, but after a while it grew on me. TIP: be patient and kind to her, it goes a long way

Comment:

She's always in a rush to get through the chapter, providing minimal to no explanations to her working. She gives you no time to take notes. She makes many mistakes copying problems from the text. If you take her, don't expect her to teach you anything. Thank god Hofstra has a tutoring center with competent staff.

She's pretty awful. Rarely finishes the problems on the board, doesn't explain anything well, will teach one thing, then completely contradict it, doesn't check homework so obviously you aren't going to do it and won't be able to teach yourself. Tests are so much harder than the things she barely teaches in class. Do yourself a favor and avoid.

Where do I begin? Well first off don't take any class with her. Her lecture is all over the place; she stops half way though a problem to start another "related" topic and doesn't finish the example she started with. If you try to ask about anything that is intellectual she shuts you down. She has no idea what she is doing and has no structure.

Oh my goodness. I have never had a teacher as bad as her. I am not a perfect student by any means, but I have never failed a class and I did with hers. She always makes mistakes, her tests are not like examples, and class is completely useless. She is a nightmare who isn't qualified to teach college level math. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Okay. I was in the class that she was removed from. Prior to being replaced, her classes became rigorous to attend. We would ask a question and she'd only answer it at the end, if we were lucky. Before being replaced, I was barely pushing a C-. After, I came out with a B+, and I'm happy with that. BY ALL MEANS KEEP AWAY FROM HER!

One of the worst professors I've ever had. FIND ANOTHER CLASS. Stresses concepts and theory, but can't actually teach. The examples in class are unnecessarily complicated with weird numbers, don't actually reinforce any theory, and she makes tons of mistakes. You MUST do the hw if you take her, cuz that's the only way you'll learn the material.

Worst teacher I've had in my life. I have a 4.0, got an A in Calc 1, and almost failed this class. She is rude, picks on certain students, and caused me to lose interest in this subject completely. I withdrew from her course because I couldn't stand her any longer.

horrible!!! I am a math major and am failing. I have never failed in my life, let alone get a grade below a 90. Completely disorganized and cannot go two steps without making a mistake; and blames it on everyone either "coming in late and confusing her" or "shes out of it". Every day. really?
