Nice woman and she means well. Awkward to talk to though. Overall, the class wasn't great; it had its ups and downs. The tests are all open-ended questions, which are somewhat abstract. She uses an online textbook which is nice. Not a very inspiring class, but if you like biology the material is pretty interesting.

Although I know a lot of other people disliked it, the Freshmen seminar Global Health class she taught was one of my favorite classes I've ever taken. I found her brilliant, clear, and very engaged in her students academic success. She may be slightly socially awkward, but that's no reason not to take her classes.

Bio in Sci Fi-- I can honestly say, after a semester's worth of classes, I have not learned anything. The only things in the class I understood were things I could recall from Bio in high school. Way too difficult for P/F. NOT worth it for QR. Take a class you'll learn something from! She's nice enough and definitely knows the material.

Her classes aren't that hard. Does teach right from a website she made, which isn't all that easy to follow. Tests are usually short answer and fair. Holds review sessions before exams which give you a good idea of what will be on the exam. She's pretty socially awkward, but overall she's a very nice person.

This class (bio sci fi) was probably one of the most painful academic experiences that i have had in my 4 years here. she is all over the map and crazy. makes us read some of her bizarre books, and has us doing upper level bio work in a very low level class. i took it P/F/D and barely passed while trying pretty hard. enough said!
