She was absolutely horrible. She made a couple students cry during class. This was music fundamentals, not some advanced class. This woman should not be "teaching."

She doesn't really teach at all so there's no reason to go to class. Just use the study guides she emails you and your textbook. Everything is from the textbook. She can be a bit moody at times, so don't make her angry. She tends to get annoyed easily. All in all, super easy class if you're willing to teach yourself.

One of the worst classes and professors I've ever taken. I would absolutely NOT recommend taking this class with this professor unless you want to waste an 1:15 of your life 2 times/week. You will not learn a single thing in class so be ready to learn everything on your own.

The book will be your life line, invest in it. Lectures tend to go off topic which is why book is important. She's not very clear on what she expects from writing assignments and not to helpful when asked. Does respond to emails though(: Test can be easy if you do the reading and show up everyday for the participation points and quizzes.

Honestly she will be extremely helpful if you ask her for the help. She wants to see that youre interested in her subject and willing to work for the grade. She is very entertaining and wants nothing but the best for her students. If you do the study guides you will get an A. She is also a very talented musician.

Shes a funny professor but usually gets confused and forgets to teach which in this case is a bad thing seeing as her tests are extremely long ! Also this class will put you to sleep it is super boring.

Stubbe is off topic more than on. Do the study guides; often the exact questions appear on the midterms. She's a very difficult teacher to please, you will find yourself frustrated and confused with instructions. She will talk nonsense for the entire class period. I don't recommend this professor whatsoever.

She means well no doubt but this class is mostly tests and although her study guides help, they aren't all that useful. She rambles about who knows what during class time and can be really rude to some students. I do not suggest this class but if you do make sure to buy the book it'll be your savior.

Stubbe has good intentions. She wants her students to do well, but she just is not a good teacher at all. Lectures are essential useless because all she does is play youtube videos and digress on topics. However, the book and study guide make the class relatively easy. Stubbe should be a last resort.

If you want to spend a large amount of time trying to get an A in this class, then I highly recommend it. She's also really rude and arrogant. Sensed a bit of racism as well. Oh, but if you do end up getting her she's one of those professors you'd have to suck up to.

She always got off topic. Her study guides are her tests which makes it super easy to get A's. Being in lecture is so boring and unnecessary because you can do the study guides, read the text and turn in concert reports and you're bound to get an A. And if you fail something, don't worry, you can still get an A. I did. But try to avoid this class.

Avoid this teacher if you want to have a good experience at SJSU. She's very inconsistent, and doesn't know what she's really teaching half the time. Gets off topic too. Her material is easy, but she's not that good of a teacher. Any music teacher but her.

I recommend to stay away from this class until it's a last resort. Stubbe is very nice, but her teaching isnt very good. Gets off topic alot and doesnt finish the lesson plan. Attendance is graded. She gives hw and study guides to tests which are basically the test themselves. That's the only positive.

She's really querky and random much of the time. She's an easy teacher. Use the txt book and study guides.Going to class I'd definitely not mandatory to get a good grade in this class. Much of the time she goes off topic. Even if she tries to lecture she doesn't get too far into it. Sweet lady, but she can't teach very well. Tests are mult choice.

I've been in this class for just under 6 weeks, and the only things I've learned is 1)If you miss one class, she automatically assumes that you don't want to be there and 2)there is 0 reason to attend this class. Absolutely nothing. The lecture and powerpoint are useless and everything is in the book. Easy, yet pointless class, bad, moody teacher.

Her tests and lectures are very sporatic..Lectures/PP's are NOT clear whatsoever. It was VERY frustrating. I did not enjoy the class whatsoever. I had 2 A's out of 3 exams. A's on everything else, and I still did not get an A. I'm an honor student, but her lack of clarity will most likely trip you.
