She was a very nice lady. A little bit eccentric, possibly a hippie, but still nice. She had trouble controlling such a big class but she is a small lady teaching a class of 100+ so you need to take that into consideration. All in all I'd reccommend her cuz she's pretty helpful.

The class itself is not hard at all. It's really boring and you take unorganized notes off the overhead. The final is a dance which isn't that hard. Tests are gone over the class before the test is given, WORD FOR WORD. All in all it's not too bad. She's a bit on the werid side tho.. Cream colored shirt, brown skirt, and purple nylons... hmmmm.. ok

The class is fairly easy as long as you show up. Attendance is graded. The final is a dance, which I'm not looking forward to, but the other tests are only worth 20 points but have 25 questions. The prof is okay... a little spacey at times, but she knows what she's talking about. She knows how to mix it up a lil' bit with actual dance sessions.

Joan was a great professor. She was extremely helpful and patient when teaching. Her extra credit was more than reasonable. Her grading was more than generous, and this is coming from someone who had never taken dance before.

Very easy class. Not very challenging to dancers. If you take this as an elective, youll do good. Easy grader. But if you are a hardcore dancer, I dont know if Id waste my time. Goes very slow. Easy A, but wont learn anything to help you advance. I already knew what she was teaching, didnt go often and I still got an A. Use your best judgement!

You have to do a final performance without learning many dances. You loose points in check offs for stupid things like not pointing your feet. It's not really that hard, but the class can be annoying because she treats everyone like they're dance majors and it's for one credit three times a week.

Joan is an amazing dancer. She may seem like shes picking favorites, but as long as she sees that you are working and improving she has no problem. If you are planning on taking dance to socialize, WRONG IDEA. Shes good and wants her students to be good...suck it up and practice!
