While Professor Tarala is a great guy, I would not recommend taking this class with him. He is an extremely difficult grader, without given expectations of what he wants. The class is lecture-based, but the things that show up on exams are the things not talked about as much in class. Exams are not terribly difficult if you study from the book.

talks the whole time, tests on random things/detailed things. had no idea wat was goin on during class. confusing, no syllabus. does talk about his cat but most of the material is interesting, i just didnt know what was goin on. if u read and study a lot u can do well. b willing to endure lecture & pay attention & read/study. if not then dont take.

He lectures the entire time. Never writes a single thing on the board or blackboard. He is rude to people who answers a Never generous with grading. Also his grading makes no sense. Better off having less credits then taking this and killing you GPA

He's terrible! He spedns the whole class talking about his cat and then expects you to pass a test that has nothing he talked about on it! I have no idea what I am learning anymore and we did a paper he literally gave us NO instruction on but told us it represents a HUGE chunk of our grade! I have learned nothing in this class at all! He just sucks

Awful just awful. You have to dedicate so much time to pass this class. READ READ READ. He doesn't teach material at all so he basically leaves you high and dry. You have to learn the material yourself. He's atrocious and avoid him at all costs.

Awful teacher. Has no clear syllabus or assignments yet if you hand something in late, he takes 20pts off the grade automatically, no exceptions. terribly confusing...i am a perfect 4.0 student and was receiving a C and i chose to withdraw from the course

Very nice and interesting individual, however he is NOT a good teacher. He spends most of the class talking about his cats , so you get the impression that it's a joke. However, it is NOT. He doesn't give you any idea of what is on the midterm or final. You have to do a lot of studying to pass the class. He doesn't teach so its all up to you

Professor is good, but the material (logic) is hard. Its hard to understand and he tries his best to make you understand but if you dont, which you probably wont.. he has extra help you can always go it. I'de take him again even since he helped so much.

avoid if possible. i had him for logic and the class was super confusing and extremely boring. all he does is talk about his cats way too much. tests were difficult and you really need to pay attention or you will fail. i had to use the book and teach myself because he didnt teach anything. so confusing and poor teaching!!

he's weird, just know that, i wont get into details. but hes nice, and approachable and he really knows the material. this class is kind of hard, you have to study for it, but its very interesting, and i think he teaches it well. I would recommend him. 4 exams, 1 of which gets dropped, a final, and some pop quizzes.

Okay...maybe his personlity changes with his classes..but for logic he's incredible. If you lighten up and let yourself laugh at stupid jokes and happen to stumble upon your sense of humor..you'll like the class. Yea, you'll have to study a little bit (I'd say 45 min the day before a test) and you'll get an A. He's awesome!!!

extremely boring. Tarala is a cool guy and knows what he's talking about but his lectures are so boring and he's an extremely hard grader. The test are impossible because he doesnt give you a clue as to what's on them, and the final is commulative. For the business code project he gave everyone lates who showed up to class 5 minutes late that day.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I reluctantly signed up for his class after reading the stuff written here and couldn't believe you were talking about the same guy. He's really easy, and the guy is hilarious. I haven't had too many professors who talk about The Wet Bandits or Shaquille O'Neal's rap skills. I got an easy A.

If you care about your GPA, DO NOT TAKE HIM. Forget studying, you have to teach yourself to do well in this class. Really cool, really akward guy. Liked his class, was a funny and interesting guy with great stories. He def. is smart & explains things well, but his tests are kinda hard. They would contain some terms or problems from the book that he never used in class. You def. have to study and know what your doin. Dunno if id take him again.
