This guy teaches the material, but I don't think he knows what is going on. The class stumped him on HOMEWORK PROBLEMS. He does not really teach the material, but rather rambles on about how teaching children Geometry in kindergarten and word problems will both increase SAT scores. He hardly discusses Trig. The guy needs to retire.

ok... why are you in this class if you dont know algebra or somewhat of an understanding of trig? This guy is easy, his tests are simple (you dont have to 'simplify' your answers and he uses the most basic problems that are similiar to the hw). his stories are relevant to engineering. do the hw and stop being a lazy ass. this guy is -kai- btw

if you're not quick in math, DO NOT take him. Sometimes he would tell a story for most of the class and then gives us notes on the next section in the last 5 minutes. He expects you to already know trig and algebra & sometimes he can be jerk when you're asking a question. Horrible teacher and He even gave us an email that doesnt work

I worked soo hard in his class, I did the homework, came to every class and I bombed all his tests. His notes are worthless and when you ask a question, he treats like you're dumb. He acts as if everyone memorized their trig/algebra classes (which I took in high school). All he does is tell stories that are irrelevant and now, I have to retake calc

Doctor Anthony is old school,and you must take him if you want to truly learn calc. He knows wat he talks about and use relevant anologies (aka"Stories") to illustrate the origins of a problem at hand. I have seen what other opinionated students have said to him and I firmly believe that thier negativity is due to them trying to find an easy grade.

Don't take him! Instead of teaching tells irrevelent stories. When he is trying to explain a problem he usually gets lost or mixed up and ends up with the wrong answer, only to have the students tell him what he did wrong. Makes things more difficult than they have to be. You basically just teach yourself from the book. Do not recommend at all!!

An okay teacher, tends to spend most of his time telling stories, HOWEVER, does somewhat relate them to math, and he at least tries to teach. Go to the class, do the homework, memorize what you have to, and study. He's not the worst, you just have to get used to not getting your hand held by teachers anymore.

Worst professor I have ever had. He runs off on stupid stories that have nothing to do with Calculus. Also he primarily teaches to the Engineering students even though there are other majors in the class and a Calc class specifically for Engineering majors. Don't take his class, it is a waste of your time and money!!

U shld b so lcky 2 hav him as ur prof. Anyone who rates him negatively is very obviously not in2 learning nor has the capability of learning the material! If u cant function without ur graphing calc then go back 2 H.S.! If U pay attention to his "stories" then u people may b able to reference back 2 them 2 help u remember material. Best prof. ever!

WARNING! Dr. Anthony uses Ilrn! Aside from that, I had a decent time in the class. He is a very challenging teacher, and will not let you get away with any b.s. Make sure you show your work on tests. The homework is optional but you'd better do it if you want a chance at an A (which is tough to come by here). Goes off on tangents sometimes.

Had the pleasure of taking a course with Dr.Anthony twice now. Very good at explaining concepts "from the ground up", so that you understand the underlying principals. He often makes simple arithmetic mistakes, so don't be afraid to correct him. Tests are hard, and you -must- do things the way he asks on the exam. Very good instructor.

He is not a very good teacher. I didn't learn and understand alot of things he thought. He always tells story which is fun but I still didn't learn. You should take him if you have already taken calculus and done well in it. He wont let you use a graphing calculator and if you miss one class you end up felling a test.

Do not take this professor if you haven't already taken Calculus 1. He cannot teach the material and does not answer questions. However, if you have taken Calc 1 already and know the material, take him for an easy A. The tests are very easy!!!
