I have yet to finish the semester but this professor is absolutely terrible. I would positively never take another course instructed by him again. He doesn't even seem like he knows any of the material and reads directly off the powerpoints. He's also excruciatingly scatterbrained and his lectures are boring and worthless. I have learned nothing.

There is no point in listening to lectures. He gives exams based on the book and its like 60 questions and each question is A-E choices. The exams are hard. He gives a few articles for extra grades and sometimes they have bonus points available. I recommend you to find another professor for this class. He was horrible.

He is funny and I enjoyed his personality, however his lectures are scattered all over the place. His tests are HARD and is mostly about what is in the book not the lectures. He does give articles for you to read and gives little test for extra credit. So don't miss because they matter! Read and use the quizzes online over the chapters!

The concept of the class is simple and honestly easy, but the man is do wishy washy on what he teaches in class, he never makes up his mind if he wants to go off power points or just babble about nothing relevant to what will be on any tests, so be prepared to just read the book and get on quizlet and study off of that.

The hardest business class Ive taken at SFA, and it wasnt because the material was hard. He makes the class harder than it needs to be with 4 tests total worth about 88% grade(12% in class work). Test are too long. I learned only from the textbook because his in class teaching is awful. I personally feel like he doesnt care about teaching.

Ballenger is a really cool guy, I like him as a person but as a professor he is really tough and the tests are very hard! You will need the textbook because lectures do not help you for the test, but attendance is required so you still have to go. Not a whole lot of opportunities to raise your grade either.

I took his marketing class in the eighties. Everything that he taught us was very applicable in the business world. With the knowledge that I instilled from the marketing class I was able to work at Abbott Laboratories, Oracle, IBM as well as many start-ups. Very good instructor applying real world examples in his lectures!

his lectures do not reflect what is on test. he rewords the questions and uses such complex examples on test that it does not make sense. he says barely anyone ever makes A's on his tests. do not take him. tests are extremely hard.

I enjoyed his class, he's a very nice guy and has always looked out for me but his class is hard. The tests are very hard and I'm not sure how to study for them. I had to retake one of his classes with another professor because I barely failed.

Awesome teacher! By far my favorite teacher at SFA, wish I could take him for ECO232! Tests are just like the practice tests and he explains subjects clearly in class with great notes!

He makes the class harder than what it really is. He also believes that everyone thinks like he does.. so what's in the book may not be the correct answer for the test. Read the book anyway and you will make at least a C on every test. The group project is never clear, he should've just done all of them himself the way he grades..

Horrible teacher, his lecture doesnt help you anything on the exam, what you can do it either read the textbook there when he is BS ting, or try to google the MC online, just type in the chapter name and they will pop up, study the MC will only let you pass the class though, and that's what I did. The avg of the first text in class is like 48.

terrible teacher. if you have a choice take someone else. his tests are super hard and have nothing to do with what he says in class. if you love to read the book and study then this class might be for you. reading the book is the only way you have a chance of passing.

TERRIBLE!! Worse teacher ever!! Test questions are not from the lecture or the book, I don't know where they come from. I actually read the book, made note cards, made outlines, went to every single class and took notes and I'm still fighting for a C. I could have made the deans list if he didn't make this class harder than it had to be. I'm pissed

I enjoyed his class, he's funny, he's nice and just read those long chapters before the exams and you will pass with a B. Exams come straight from the book, he's a good prof and I had him from 4-6:30p. Got an A just read the book and come to class, that's it.

Even though the tests are mainly from the book, his tests are still quite hard. Go to the publisher website and you will find practice quizzes that you'll find very helpful. Usually 1 or two short answer questions at the end of each test. Extra credit was my saving grace, but you have to go to class to be able to get it.
