Prof Bell is a nice guy, but definetly set in his traditional ways. It's his opinion or else... but he does help if you come in during his EARLY morning office hours. A bit arrogant and his tests are kinda hard. I got my only B in this class with A's in all of my other classes if that gives you an idea...

Comment:

He's not an easy professor, but he teaches the material very well. If econ isn't your thing, take someone else, but if you really enjoy economics and want to learn, Dr Bell is great. And his humor always keeps the classes interesting. Unfortunately, he's retiring. I'm glad I had the opportunity to learn from him.

This class was ridiculously hard. His tests were all essay and T/F (correct the false). He also makes you read a suppliment book and write 5 page essays on two chapters. Its not worth it to take honors-take regualar.

He is always willing to answer any questions you amy have. His tests aren't that difficult if you take notes in class. He is always willing to help you with the homework assignments. I would recommend him to anyone. He is retiring after next semester, howeever; so take him while you can!

The class is hard but economics is hard if it isn't your major. I recommend if you take him to go to the tutor for the homework and you will get all the homework points. I did horrible on the tests and still pulled a C because of the homework.

He does try to explain, and he is fair. But especially if you are taking the class through honors, it is HORRIBLE. The tests are all essay and true/false (correct the false). I wouldn't take his class unless you are an economics genius.

I don't know what these other people are really talking about. This guy was incredibly tough. First test average of 63%. While, he is somewhat entertaining, it still isn't a great class. If you mess up on the homework, you can kiss your grade good bye. Take a different teacher!!!

Dr Bell is fantastic. His class is very difficult, but that's because of the subject matter, not because of his teaching. He is extremely rational and fair. His jokes and anecdotes help keep the lectures interesting.

His tests are pretty rough, but if you study PROPERLY then you could do pretty well. He has a dry sense of humor but he's a good guy. He can try to confuse you sometimes because he says that that is his job. Who knows, but this class can be rough if you don't keep up in the work and notes.
