She is super kind and caring. At first I was scared of taking this class but she makes you feel very comfortable. The speeches are very easy you can present anything you'd like. Just put in the work and you are good. Textbook not really needed since quizzes are online, they are fairly easy. If you miss a speech, you can make it up!

Professor Ribble is an easy grader on your speeches, and outlines. We did 8 speeches through out the semester. There are weekly quizzes online that you don't really need to read the book for. They are fairly easy. The only boring part of the class was when we would watch outdated videos. She is a caring professor that is willing to help.

I think Professor Ribble is a great teacher and person! She takes a genuine interest in her students. I wish I could see her teach something more complicated than this course, because I'm sure she would do a good job. We did have more class cancellations that I thought we would due to traffic problems, which could be seen as good or bad.

A fantastic choice. Speeches are extremely easy and fun - if you put in the effort. If not, just show up and talk. If you present yourself and participate, she will notice you and thus, get an easy A. A few online textbook quizzes, 3 background speeches, 1 final persuasive speech, and 1 online final based off of what you have read in the textbook.

Grades tough on speeches, but tells you where to improve on specifically. She is very caring and is easy to access outside of school hours. Does in classes activities to make public speaking much easier and less scary.

Shes a great professor, brings up topics on the world and is very caring towards her students. Sad that students take advantage and leave in the middle of class after they present their speech. She is very nice and understanding, this class was very laid back.

Prof. Ribble was the only reason I stayed at San Marcos. She is so kind and genuine, and wants her kids to succeed. Super easy if you practice your speeches. Heck, no need to even practice. As long as you go up there a give your speeches, you will pass.

I have so much respect for Prof. Ribble. She really loves her subject and wants you to succeed. She is very lenient about late assignment submissions. Although we barely used the book, you will need it for online quizzes. Take her class without a second thought.

Professor Ribble is a fantastic professor. If you have any questions or concerns she'll work with you to figure something out. She shows interest and consideration for all her students life's in and outside the classroom. Definitely recommend taking her class

She is so sweet and just wonderful. Her class is pretty simple but it is not easy. She has a very very clear grading criteria when it comes to speeches, which is really helpful. I would recommend her for GEO because she really does listen and help you if you ask her. I got good score of all my speeches, but online quizzes brought me down :(

I'm glad to have Mrs. Ribble as my Oral Communication Professor for Fall Semester. She is so sweet and nice for helping me out on my outline for my speeches and making suggestions for my speeches. The online quizzes were a bit of a challenge but I managed. The speeches were really easy to get an A if you practice. Get her for Oral Communication.

Very sweet and kind professor. Although sometimes, she can be a tough grader on speeches - especially regarding eye contact. Textbook is needed for the chapter quizzes every week or two. Just show up to class and practice your speeches! Final speech is about 7-8 minutes long, with all the other ones ranging from 2-3 minutes.

I wanted to like Professor Ribble, but I just never came around. The course is super easy, attendance is not mandatory, and she is understanding and caring about student issues - however, I constantly felt like I was being coddled and treated like I was in middle school. She teaches GEO but IMO is not a good public speaker at all. Go figure. Easy A

She's super sweet and funny, however do expect quite a bit of homework cause she has a lot of online quizzes. Speeches are usually 2-3 minutes and only one 7-8 minute speech. If you're scared to do speeches like me, she makes it super comfortable to present.
