Comment:

Dr. Casey is a good lecturer but his exams are impossible, he expects students to complete an unreasonable amount of writing in the short time given and takes marks off for pedantic things like grammar and punctuation. My grade in this class was 20% lower than my average. He's also not super approachable, kindof rude in one-on-one interactions.

Seems like an interesting class, should have been interesting; however, he does not make it interesting. He is very vague on everything. The exams are one of the hardest I have ever had to written in my 4 years of being at the U. Definitely expect a lower grade than anticipated. My friends and I all went down 10-20%.

I was looking so forward to this class & was very disappointed. He won't post slides until after lecture & says not to copy slides during class. I can't learn that way! Especially at 8:30am. He made us buy a SearchLab for $35 to look up disorders for the exam and there wasn't any info on the disorders! Not to mention the textbook is full of errors.

An easy, friendly way to his lectures. Lots of class discussion, which keeps the mood like. Exams are a bit difficult, you really need to do the reading. I would recommend it, especially if you are interested in this field.

I took developmental disabilites with Casey. I believe I would have done better if I paid more attention in lecture, he put the slides on the internet and told us not to copy. But if you are like me, copying would have been wise for the practice. I did all of the reading and had hope for a better grade. Overall he is a good prod. I enjoyed his lect

Casey's teaching style is very down to earth, he kinda reminds me of a father figure. Very easy to listen to during lectures, his slides are very imformative but he does at information to his slides extra from what is up.

Dr. Casey is a great professor. He is one of those teachers that cares about how the students are learning and understanding the course material. He actually takes the time to explain the material in depth even if it means that the scheduled lectures have to be pushed back.

Great Prof! He encourages you to take an in-depth look at issues. His work experience in psychology outside of the university really adds to his ability as a teacher. I wish he would teach more classes!
