If you do not like to speak in front of people or are nervous about this class Mr. Cosentino is the the teacher to have. More than fair in all assignments and makes the class so comfortable as he recognizes that not everyone likes to speak in front of the class. By the end of this class you will be a lot more comfortable if you have this teacher

Comment:

Fantastic teacher. Taught me how to act, how to get into a good four-year college, and how to get a job. He'll tell a funny story then get right to work. His critiques hone in on what you need to do to be better. He uses the syllabus like it's the LAW! If you are habitually absent or late, don't take this class. As he says, don't be an actor either

Amazing teacher. Follows class syllabus to the letter. Quirky guy. Really cares about what he's teaching. Totally fair grader. Good critiques. Come to class on time. Improvisations and memorized scene performances at the end are really fun. He's also department head and should be.

The best teacher I've ever had. Funny, but really teaches you. Strictly follows the class syllabus, grading critique sheet, and attendance policy for everyone. All fair. You know up front what to expect from day one. If you come to class and do the work, you learn and you get a good grade. Those who don't, won't.

No doubt about it, WEIRDEST guy ever. That being said, the class starts off hard and gets easy as you get comfortable with your class and speaking. You do 3 speeches & he follows the rubric to a T. If you have to take a speech class take it with him. Only prof who lets you redo every speech and gives an alternative speech to replace lowest grade.

Very nice. I'm not sure how friendly he was in grading a conservative point of view, but he seemed to like discussion and different points of view (I choice VERY controversial topics that were very different from his, but I still got an A+) As far as easiness, if you like public speech at all, then you'll do really well in this class.

Horrible instructor!! He's rude, unhelpful, not fair at all. When it comes to tests, if you do not answer questions the way he wants you to answer them: he'll take off points. Be prepared for ALOT of work. He's also VERY sarcastic!!! Make sure your cell phone is turned off. If it rings, that's a -5 pts. Do yourself a favor: Take Press for THE 105!
