He knows his stuff. Though I think classes for all the Computer Sciences could be taught in a much more conducive environment to learning. 1day/wk in lab compared to 2/wk in classroom.. Best in CS dept by far though.

Helpful, however not for CSCI beginners. Spends too much time telling you things that he admits you won't need to know (i.e. shortcuts, things involving higher level material). Personally, I found him difficult to follow. Labs have high expectations and are useless if you don't go into them already knowing how to do them.
