Peek was a hard professor for me. I took his class my first semester at Ga State and I wasnt doing very well. Im normally an A student but I couldnt comprehend his tests. Ended up with a C even after going to study sessions offered by a grad student. I wouldnt reccomend taking Peek for Pols1101

It took me a few weeks to get used to him, but the class is straight lecture and tests straightforward. He gives a study guide before each exam and if you pay attention, take some notes, and go to class you'll be set. By the end of the semester, I found myself actually enjoying the class.

His tests are very tricky! But they really test your knowledge. You certainly have to study to earn an A. His lectures are very interesting, you just have to get past the "professor" tone in his voice. I really enjoyed his class -- and I actually changed my major because of it.

His tests are pretty straightforward as long as you have read the book. His study guides are KEY, so make sure you attend the class before each test. He does have a habit of spouting out political propaganda that's got no basis in truth, so take everything with a grain of salt. Check his sources and do your own research!

He is one of the best teacher I have ever had in my college career. His 1101 POLS is easy A if you study his study guides. If you take notes in class you dont have to read the book at all.

He is sooo boring. He's not a bad teacher, but he's not very interesting. Attendance is one point extra credit. The tests aren't easy, but he gives out a study guide a week before. So, if you study the ENTIRE study guide, you can do okay. Other than that, he's not a bad teacher... he's just EXTREMELY boring.

He was boring and very opinionated. He also lectured as if we were all morons who didn't know anything about politics or government. I took the class because it was required and I can't remember much of it... it all went in one ear and out the other.

He gets up there and loudly mumbles some words so he is hard to understand at times. He also is very opinionated and he is rude if you have a different viewpoint. I guess its not that bad though. I think his class is a bit like minivans really, if you need to take his class (drive a minivan), then you just do and you will get along okish.

he may not be the funniest instructor. But when you listen to him, you really get the insight that he is a man full of knowledge. His exams are a mixture of his lectures and book. Since he provides a study sheet, your effort and preparation really reflects your exam scores.

Bottom line, if you're going to tape his class, you can probably get along. However he's hard to listen to, he pauses at inappropriate places in sentences, he uses no fluctuation in his voice and let's not get into the jokes that only he understood. Keep an eye out for subtle **** remarks, he's well known for that.

Easy material, however, his test questions are opinionated so it makes it hard to understand what he is looking for. Boring, boring, boring lectures. Do not choose to take him. But if you are stuck with him, he isn't that bad.

Easy class. 3 tests, 45 MC and one essay, Final 50 MC and its not cumlative so dont fret over it. The test are strgtfoward from the study guide he gives you. Come to class everyday, attendance factors into your grade. he does make some interesting jokes. You can earn up to 5 points extra credit on your final average. I didnt but still got an A.

Peek is awesome. But his humor dry-er than the Sahara. There's two ways to approach the class. First way is buy the book, never attend, and use the study guides. The second way is don't buy the book, take lecture notes, and use the study guide. You'll end up with an A both ways. Study guides = the test. They are gold! Take the class for easy A.

Peek is a great Political Science teacher. Notes are for the most part good. Gives study guides for the test. Also gives an extra credit assignment so make sure you do it. Test are difficult just by the way he phrases the questions. Just study and you should do fine. WARNING: If you answer a question and its wrong, he will embarrass you.
