Comment:
This prof is the absolute worst, would not recommend to anybody and unfortunately he is the only professor who teaches Geography 100 at the UofR so if you can avoid taking it, do it. Refuses to mark assignments that are handed less than minute late. He also rambles like a moron and I learned more from students personal account presentations.

Joe is a decent prof his lectures are long and dull but informative. Class is easy with 6 multiple choice quizzes, a midterm, a paper and an option between a term paper or a final. As long as you read the textbook and study for quizzes you will do good in the class.

A very laid back, but informative class. If you read the textbook and its terms once per chapter you're golden! This semester went over the non-Western/European regions of the world, and the lectures are very easy to follow! It was all VERY short quizzes every chapter, one short report, and the final. Everything is multiple choice if you want too!

Good prof, tries his best, but has trouble keeping eye contact with students - seems there is something more appealing about where the back wall meets the ceiling

Very helpful and easy going. He is very interested in the subject and will get you interested in it as well. Labs are very easy if you just follow his directions. Midterm was easy, and there is just a final project, no final exam!

Knowledgeable, well spoken, easy prof. to get along with. Many thought provoking questions. Fair Examinations. Very approachable, and very willing to help you if he sees you are working hard, and putting in the time and effort.

Okay, like I don't really want to hear everyone's stupid opinion. I'm thankful more people don't talk. He needs to get rid of the power point to make this a meaningful class. seems like a nice guy though

I really enjoy Joe's teaching, I just wish more people would talk in the class. He's trying to get everyone to have an opinion and share it, but everyone mostly just stays quiet (or sometimes asleep). He needs a few better videos though.

What kind of a prof assigns 26 pages of single-spaced writing for a 200 level class? That's basically 52 pages of text. That's more than all of my other classes combined. Unreal.
