Comment:

Took the class because it was recommended and for students with no music experience. He didn't teach the class like that at all and was very hard to know what he was talking about. Have to write a paper for every class. Do not take if you are going to miss class, even if they are excused like athletics.

He really knows his stuff. Though he may seem hard or boring sometimes. He challenges his students to become the best they can be through hard work. He is right when it comes to his comment about being able to sing. If you want to teach in music, singing is a must! He is a kind soul, an amazing flute prof and will help any student if they ask.

He's an awful teacher, he expects everyone in the class to be musical geniuses and to learn difficult material overnight. He's strict on attendance and every class you have to type up a page long journal entry about what you learned that day, which is hard because you don't learn much. He makes you do embarrassing stretching exercises everyday.

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. Don't take this class unless its required. I learned nothing from him. He purposely tries to confuse his students. He laughs at his own jokes, but he is not funny. He is arrogant and smug and will not help you if you ask. I dreaded going to his class and I left his class extremely angry and frustrated

If you have a positive self-esteem before entering his class, than make sure you leave it out the door before he shatters it into pieces. I withdrew from his class when he told us that we couldn't teach elementary school without being a perfect singer.

He is a very talented musician, an internationally acclaimed flutist who has toured with Jesus Christ Superstar and played for the US Marine Band. This class is very fun, as you learn how to play "Hot Cross Buns" and other fun songs on the piano

Boring class, and I say that with the utmost sincerity. I love music, but It's so slow. just do the study guides and your good to go. The mic sometimes goes out, but he gives out so much extra credit that it's an A or B class, no excuses.
