Waits until the last second to assign homework, tests, projects. We're talking its the last week of the semester and bam here's three chapters work of homework problems, bam an online quiz, bam a test, and bam the final project which is a paper and a presentation. Is pleasant to be around when he's in a good mood but if he's in a bad mood then oops

Ok at teaching, but the tests were much more difficult than the lectures and quizzes. I've never gotten below an A- in a class but got a C+ in Discrete (had extenuating circumstances that semester though). Rolon is the only teacher for this class, so my advice is to read the book and do a LOT of practice problems if you don't want your GPA to drop.

I had him for Stats. No textbook needed but online code to MyStatLab was mandatory. All of the homework and quizzes were on MyStatLab. The tests were take home. One final project. If you don't pay attention and follow his lectures, you probably can't pass. Pretty much cant reach him outside of class. Overall I enjoyed him. Very funny & laid back!

He is very knowledgeable about the subject he is teaching. However this leads to the test being "difficult" . Difficult meaning that if you only do the bare minimum and don't understand the concepts you will struggle. You actually have to work for your grade. He is a tough grader and tests are sometimes be too long to finished in the given time.

This was an absolutely crazy class. Although he is passionate about the material, this is much harder even than classes at Lehigh and I don't understand why. Please don't make the mistake I made. Take it with Krauss, even if you have to take it at night. The average on most tests was around a 30 (no curve), so take that as you will.

Mr. Rolon was very funny guy and cool. If you ask for help he is willing to help. The cons were that his test were very difficult and what I learned from the lecture it was harder on the exams. Their were only 4 main exams that is about 10 percent of your grade but it can really bring your grade down. very challenging. I passed it with a C.

I've NEVER had this much trouble in a math class. It was online, so I expected little teaching, but not none at all. He expects you to know more then what the book teaches. He doesn't respond to emails and is very sassy when doing so. His tests? Forget about it. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID, DON'T TAKE HIM ONLINE!!!!

I've heard Rolon was the most difficult math teacher to take at this school. Miss one class and your grade suffers. Tests are horrible. Class averages for tests don't exceed 55. Take if you want to actually understand high level math and don't mind taking multiple times.

This man is brutally hard. I took him for differential equations while basically coasting through calc I-III. I took him and he crushed me. However: he does want you to learn and is lecture are clear and he will go out of his way to help you if you try. He is super passionate about math and is a great guy.

By far the worst professor I've ever had going back to at least the 6th grade. Goes off topic quite a bit, Spanish accent and the way he speaks makes it hard to follow and understand. As well, he will not give you ample time to prepare for quizzes, if you ask questions he gets annoyed like you're already suppose to know, TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!

Most of the time I thought we were in Spanish. He speaks Spanish quite often and your just like what I thought this was Stats? He is very hard to follow, if you want to pass teach yourself from the book. He gets off subject often and waste a lot class time but then expects you to know the material. Take another professor.

There are no lessons given. No teaching involved. You do not get to see how you did on each exam and to pass this course is difficult. Teaching yourself calculus isn't easy. Do not take this course online!!! I wish there was more I could do to ensure a good grade.

Try to avoid taking his online classes... he does absolutely nothing. If you don't know the material before the class then you won't know it afterwards.

Diff EQ is very difficult--these are the lowest grades I've ever gotten. Don't skip this class. Some of his test questions can feel different than book questions--this means you MUST think on your feet and do every single homework question. We push through a lot of tough material very quickly, but the tone of the class is very relaxed and casual.

I took professor Rolon for Calc II & III and although I struggled through Calc I with a different professor, I actually learned from Rolon. He loves math and will explain anything you ask. Pay attention in order to do well. He is fun but very serious about his classes and exams. Daydreaming for even a minute and your scores will suffer.

Alex loves math and it shows. His tests are hard, he actually wants you to use what you learned and apply it to problems, not just regurgitate stuff. If you give him anything for an answer, even if it is, "Well I think it could be.... whatever" he will give you partial credit. If you are trying he will help you. Funny too!

Professor Rolon is the man. If you, as a student, are looking for a free ride through a course, then he is not your professor. However, if you really want to learn the material and leave the class with a better understanding of the course, he is the man. His test are hard? Yes and thats what makes the class worthwhile. I recommend him to anyone.

I got an A in the class but I still think Rolon is a terrible teacher (I taught myself out of the book). He is also one of the rudest people I've ever met and held his students to a standard he never met himself.

Definitely the most difficult teacher I have ever had. And not a "challenging" sort of difficult. His tests are insane, they don't reflect what he taught in class, and the students rarely have enough time to complete them. He seems to be very knowledgable, yet I came out of the class having learned almost nothing. Survival Tip: do the extra credit.
