most unorganized prof I have ever had. easy A but I learned nothing. feel guilty for receiving 3 credit hours for it because I did nothing. wrote 2 papers (basically 1) has a syllabus and only chooses to do certain things from it. is all over the place. I think he means well and he is really nice, but it's a waste of time.

Joel is a great guy who happens to be a professor. Really easy class, most of the time is just Joel talking about whatever he wants. Always lets you out 10 minutes early. Joel clearly cares about his students and will let you rewrite your paper until you get an A.

Berrier realizes that you're taking this class as a gen ed, so he'll make sure you'll pass easily. You'll have to write 3-4 essays throughout the semester, but you're given plenty of time to prepare.

Joel is great! He genuinely wants his students to do well, and is flexible with due dates. He is slightly unorganized with grading, you probably wont know your grade until the semester ends. Write the papers well, show up to class for daily grades. Easy A if you show up and do the assignments/participate in group discussions! Very chill class

Easiest RC 2001 teacher!! Very scattered and confusing with due dates. Minimal work, 2 papers and an outline for a third. Really great guy. So much easier compared to other people's RC classes

He is such a nice professor, you dont really do much in class but its fun to go and just talk. literally the easiest RC teacher, we have only written 2 papers and basically everyone gets an A if you just turn something in.

Considering I didn't care much for the course in the first place, I didn't mind him. True, he is unorganized and scatterbrained but he's a generous grader and only grades on 2 papers, 2 presentations and attendance and all in all is an easy A. Though he never really announces due dates, he doesn't count off for late submissions whatsoever

Nice easy class! Only 2 papers and 1 project, basically no final. Allows multiple drafts to improve papers. Little to no extra assignments but likes doing in-class group discussions. I took his class twice, I knew the work flow and with a busy schedule it was perfect.

Does not follow syllabus, scatter brained, due dates change often. Textbook was required but did not use. Wrote about 2 papers with three drafts along with minimal group work. Work was easy, however there are not a lot of graded assignments. Easy class with normal workload, take this class.

Berrier is an extremely lazy professor. He kept pushing back deadlines because he "forgot" to put an upload link week after week. He ended up "forgetting" to do this for our final also, and since he never checks his e-mail, he did not view mine. We were supposed to have three essays, but because he never graded assignments, we only did two.

Professor Berrier is a great person, just not so much a great teacher. He informed us at the beginning of the course that we could rewrite essays as many times as we needed to get an A, however he only gave a grade once. He never posts grades. Attendance is mandatory, but nothing happens in class. Easy A, but don't take if you want to learn.

LOVED JOEL!! Take him you won't regret it. Pretty easy grader, 3 papers, and 1 project. Took him for summer school, classes were meant to be 2 hours each and he normally let us go within 40 minutes. He gives good feedback and you do lots of peer review. I think everyone in the class got an A. TAKE HIM!

Okay, so I went though the entire year saying how much I hated this class. I stopped going and dreaded typing papers so I always turned them in late, but ended up with an A-. Show your trying and he will understand. This man is very kind-hearted. He knows you have 6 papers due by Friday, so ask for an extension and you're good. TAKE THIS CLASS.

Berrier is an interesting professor. Although the work is relatively easy with only 3 major papers and a group project, I found that the time in class was almost pointless. However, he does take attendence. My biggest problem with Berrier was that none of the grades were entered into asulearn so I had no idea what my final grade would be.

Berrier is great, but really doesn't explain things. I had a tough time with a lot of assignments simply because he only says what he thinks he needs too and barely tries to rephrase the explanation he's already given. Class is fun and super super easy, but be prepared to write.

Berrier is a very, very nice man, but I did not enjoy him as a teacher. This class focused pretty much entirely on climate change, something that I personally don't find fascinating. All of our essays were related to climate change in some way, shape, or form, and his directions on writing them were incredibly unclear and confusing.

Berrier is great! My only complaint about him is that he doesn't put grades on AsULearn; however, you write 3 papers and do a final presentation and you know your grades on those so you can expect what your grade will be in the end. You are required to do 3 drafts per paper the 3rd draft you get a grade but can do a 4th if you want a better grade.

What a joke of a course. I would totally take this class over and over again. He grades so simply, and you have the opportunity to return a draft of a paper as many times as you want until you are happy with your grade. He works with you, he is thoughtful, and just show up to class.

Berrier is amazing! He is honestly there for you in anyway possible. If you have had a bad week and can't get your paper written on time he will let you turn it in later with no points off. He wants you to pass his class with an A, its as simple as that. I would highly recommend taking his class especially is writing isn't really your forte.
