Professor Rubin is very smart and knows the subject but he is very tough. Teaches very quickly and sometimes gets frustrated if you don't understand. However, he does give you some easy grades so that you don't get screwed by the exams

Rubin's a genius. That makes him extremely good at explaining introductory business law. The lectures are way more important than the readings. Basically the cliff notes. Ask for review sessions. After that, it's memorization. Curves end of year grades a bit. Wants you to succeed and to work for it. Really glad I took him learned a lot.

This class was by far the hardest class I've had at IU. Joel is a great teacher but difficult exams. He tries his hardest to help you understand the material with case example help sessions. The readings are somewhat lengthy and it is easy to get behind, but have to do the readings. Offers NO extra credit while others do. He cold calls people in class

Rubin is a great professor. He wrote the textbook, so he really knows what he's talking about. There is no hw, only group work on random days in class which account for 1/4 of your grade. Tests are tricky but he made the class entertaining. There are easier teachers, but he's the best professor I've had at IU. If you want to learn- take Rubin.

This class was hard. He did a good job of using examples to help us understand the material, but he often lost me. You can fall behind with him really easy if you don't read over all the material.

Fill out the review questions before a test; they're a great study tool. Also, attend the optional case discussions; they're awesome test practice & they let you know if you understand the material. I never actually read the cases in the book because I found them to be tedious and time-consuming, but I always did well on tests. Take his section!

He is an excellent teacher, and you can do well in his class if you finish all the readings before class. Go for class, that's the only way you'll get through! The only problem with him is he keeps his exams insanely hard. Even if you do well throughout, his final exam can really bring you down.

The best teacher I've had at IU. His lectures are interesting and informative. I never used my book but took very close notes in class and had a 94% test average. GO TO CLASS because he only excuses 1 absence (including sickness) which hurt my grade. Go over the practice exams in groups and you'll ace the tests.

Really good instructor, I am confident that I learned more in his class than in any other class at Indiana University yet.He teaches using many examples that make very complex legal material understanable. If you put in a good effort you will learn a lot about the law and get a very fair grade too.

This guys is possibly the most boring instructor yet. He's helpful and knowledgeable, just very boring. If you miss a class, you might as well kiss your grade goodbye
