Online statistics with hi is the worse I have ever done , clearly messing up my GPA . He expects the computer to grade exams and if you off by rounding off in one digit you get it WRONG !!! Unbeelievable , he himself makes mistake with the homework questions and clearly is CONFUSED !!

took ban 001 online. course was crystal clear, not super time consuming, and I learned a lot. Affisco's lectures are great and he's very accessible. Not an easy course, per se, but an easy A if you keep up, read the book (great textbook) and do homework. Exam questions are similar to suggested problems. Was a pleasure to take Dr. Affisco's class

Very difficult material but he made it somewhat easier. Gave the resources we needed to understand everything. VERY monotone and was not very open to questions during the class, coming off as very condescending whenever actually answering one. Could've been worse

This class was very tough. Homework is optional, but definitely do the mindtap assignments. Studying is a MUST. He doesn't handle questions very well. He usually just doesn't understand where there could be confusion since he knows the material so well. Also, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE EXTRA CREDIT! Attendance is optional, but essential to passing.

You will do well in this class if you understand the material, but if you don't, don't expect Affisco to help you. When students ask questions, he is not pleasant and makes you feel dumb for asking them. Lectures are a borefest, so use the optional homework to teach yourself the material.

Extremely intelligent. Unfortunately, if you're not interested in this subject, the material gets dry pretty fast, but he knows what he's talking about. Open book tests, a few online assignments, and some extra credit opportunities. I would take another class with him for sure.

He is a great professor who explains statistics very well. The tests were open textbook and we were permitted a one page formula sheet we created ourselves, and all the problems were almost exact replicas of what we did in class. The topic can be hard, but go to class, ask questions when you're confused about problems, and take good notes

I thought he would be a decent professor, but he doesn't know half of what he is talking about. He actually slept through some of the presentations in class, and then decided to wake up from his nap and critique it by attacking my class. He's useless they need a better teacher for IT. What a waste

The subject of QM is very difficult. However, all his tests are open book. Cengage is 20% of your grade and it's guaranteed because he gives unlimited retakes. Do not venture into a test without a textbook! I never went to class and still got an A. He cares about his students but he gets annoyed very easily

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Class consists of optional hw (do it, it helps), online quizzes (guaranteed 20% of your grade b/c you get unlimited retakes) and 3 exams (which are based on the hw). All of his lecture notes are online. He's very flexible and willing to work with you, so email him or go to his office if you run into any issues and you'll be fine.

He teaches you the whole chapter while other's just teach you what you need to know.His test are 20 questions and you must show all work but you get no partial credit. Other teachers have multiple choice exams.His test review is non existent.Others hand out packets. His exams are really though you will fail dont take !

QM is not easy and he doesn't pretend it is. He posts all of his lectures online and I suggest you print them out and follow him as he goes through it in class. Homework is not mandatory, but really useful. His tests are open book, based on examples from notes and not hard so long as you pay attention and understand it the first time. RECOMMEND!

This class is the class from hell, but as a professor he makes it manageable. The subject is hard, but he is the Dept. Chair and he explains it well. Class can be boring but he realizes when it is getting out of hand and does his best to entertain. All around good professor.

Dr. Affisco is an all around great professor. He gives his students the opportunity to do well and will curve his exams if the grades are low. Open book exams and he constitutes a 90 or above to be an A. It doesn't get any better than that.

If you have to take QM take either Affisco or Sessions. Affisco is very clear about his teaching, open book tests! All lectures are posted online, no attendance, 4 hw assignments that only help your grade! I hate math and im getting an A. He's a typical new yorker but really great!!
