i did not like this class. He was not clear on what would be on the tests. The class seemed like a waste of my time and i did not like his lectures. He would show slides and say nothing about them. I would not recommend him even if i did get an A out of the class.

be careful, not as nice and fair as he would have you believe. Three tests, I made, F on first, B on second and C third, and missed only one day of class and he failed me.

really nice guy...his lectures were kind of boring, but if u go to them and take good notes, you will do fine on the tests. U do have to study a lot though because the tests are a lot of memorizing. i would take him again, he knows what hes talking about. study a lot...study early, you will be fine

3 tests thats it. not the easiest things in the world..you gotta memorize a lot..don't take notes, save time and just make flashcards during class. gave a 10 point extra credit to the final grade.

Seems like a really nice guy that really knows his stuff, however tried to teach a class of 300 like a class of 40 and it just does not work. Tests are all short answer over a lot of material. Study sessions not much help. In other words take good notes and memorize them.

A difficult class, but enjoyable. He really knows what he's talking about. Can't study the night before because there's a lot of info. 3 tests and takes attendance.

Grades came from only a midterm, final, and optional 10-15 pg paper. His tests are essay format and he wants more than just the notes(research in book and online). Take detailed notes. The class isn't much work until test time... then you cry a lot.

Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject, Professor Bryan teaches in a very clear lecture-and-slides style. If that's not your style, then his class may not be for you. He looks for details in his essay exams, so take good notes in class.

A little too cut and dry for my tastes, went very much into the straight facts of art history but didn't teach enough of the artistic interpretations which is an important part about studying art history.

He's a cute Southern gentleman, but teaches more about structure, form, and compostition rather than the actual HISTORY behind it. Easy class, compare notes to book and you'll always make an A. Makes final optional. Only 3 test grades.

He may be the best teacher I've ever had. Very interesting. He is a pretty hard grader but you always know what to prepare for on tests, he is very clear about that. Great lectures and stories. I had him for ARTH 106 also. He is an expert on art history
