I recommend Dr. Burger. He is very knowledgeable. He expects you to come to class completing the reading . You must ready to listen to him lecture about what you read. When you read, it shows and he knows who has read and who has not. You need to study hard for tests, they can be tricky. Class average is usually low 80s. Quizzes aren't too bad.

Alright I'm not gonna lie, by these reviews I was expecting a lot easier from Burger. I took him for both macro and micro though so I knew what to expect the second time around. Bottom line is he wants you to do well but if you don't care he doesn't care. It's not by ANY means an easy A but if you work it's completely doable.

Great professor! Had him for both macro and micro, he can really simplify every topic making everything easy to understand. His expectations are very clear and he makes sure you are well prepared for the test with a lot of review and practice problems. Nothing surprising on the quizzes and tests. He also likes to crack corny jokes which i loved!

Super smart and makes his lectures interesting. He always provides really good sample problems in class that are always like the ones he offers on tests. You'll definitely have to do the homework problems to get a good grade. He's also super helpful one on one in his office hours. I had him for micro and liked him so much I took him for macro.

Decent teacher, but grade completely depends on two tests and the final, so very minimal room for error.

He's an awesome teacher, but study the material and keep up with him in class. Do the practice problems, they will help a lot. Quizzes on most Fridays instead of graded homework. Don't need to read the chapter, he gives you the notes on all the important stuff but again do practice problems. Loved him though, would take his class again.

Burger is a pretty cool professor. He is willing to explain a topic until the students understand and will spend extra time on certain difficult topics. He goes over everything on quizzes and tests clearly. Easy to talk to and fun to be in class with.

His expectations were clear cut & you could use a reference sheet for both tests. He continually offered helpful feedback. The historical analysis projects were enlightening and made the lectures very relevant and applicable. He taught Econ with a very real sense of social justice, and didn't lose students in the world of Econ theory.

Burger is a great econ prof. Class is interesting and he presents the material very well. 2 Tests and a Final and 6 quizzes. No real homework, he assigns readings and recommended practice problems but they're mostly covered in class. Also, tests and quizzes are taken from what's covered in class. I'd recommend taken Burger if possible.

Prof Burger is the greatest! Definitely take him if you get the chance! He lays out the material very clearly and goes at a comfortable pace. Expect 5 quizzes (lowest score is dropped at the end of the semester). Two main tests and one final exam. Take good notes and DO THE TEXTBOOK PRACTICE PROBLEMS! He is such a good professor!

Burger is the man. He is a very good teacher and overall not that hard. One thing that I remember is when we were on the topic of foreign trade, I remember he was such a nerd and said "Represent the Deutchland!" and did the VW for Volkswagen sign with his hands. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. He is the man. Take him.

So laid back, class was a joy. This upper level econ is hard, but Burger takes it easy and is always there to help. Use the review guides, you'll need them, but there's nothing you won't know on the test. Papers to write about currency markets thrown in too, but nothing too long. Fun class, cool prof, take it.

He is awesome! Class can be a little boring. Take notes. Quizes every week, midterm and final...all from notes. Really nice guy. Cute in a dorky kind of way. tells corney jokes which i think are funny and so does he. Knows he is nerd but still he cool. Easy and interesting class. TAKE HIM! he is adorable.
