WOW!! What a crazy man he is! I had him in first year so like '04 and there's so many complaints to the dean about him! Unbelievable! But like others said he is VERY knowledgeable in his field, and you will get what you put into the class, mark wise, but seriously never been creeped on by a prof during office hours of going through a paper! IMPROPE

Yeah definitely somewhat of a crackhead.. came to teach on a saturday?!? WTF?! John's classes were very boring and was definitely a waste of 1 1/2 hours just listening to him rant on about absolutely nothing which doesnt even have to do with anything we're taking. He's super unprofessional.. somewhat funny at times BUT I DIDNT LEARN A THING. boo.

Anybody who whines about John Clark should stop being so uptight and get a sense of humour. I learned a lot from his class. I took his class two years ago and everytime I've seen him lately he's called me by my first name. He's a total crackpot at first, but then you begin to realise that he's acctually brilliant! I just wanted to hang out and bask in his knowledge. It is very unfourtunate that he is sick and unable to teach the rest of the class, or any others for that matter. A really funny and intelligent guy.

Although he is crass and tends to scare the first years, John is well versed in all areas of english and if you take the time to ask him questions about the material you will be very satisfied with his 1 on 1 help.The nicknames are not intended to insult, besides how many profs remember your name. This "professor"-- if one could call him that-- reflects poorly on the University of Saskatchewan. His unprofessional conduct was borderline harassment, and he made his female students feel quite uncomfortable. I learned more in my Grade 7 English class than I did in his English 110 class. His class was a waste of my time and money.

I was very disappointed in his teaching. I mean im paying for my education and i did not pay to be insulted in his class nor picked on. I would say he is hardly a good professor. he's going to be laughing at the people making fun of him whom can't spell.Funny guy,enjoyable class, you might get picked on but keep in mind he is being funny not persecutive. I had John in 2000-2001 and he still is one of the most remembered by me... he used to talk about "mushrooms" and "go forth and multiply".... he was a great teacher. Made class exciting. Although I wasn't too plased on the way he marked my last 2 term papers.

This guy has been the best proff I have yet had. He knows what hes talking about, being intimately tied to his field. Each class was a lesson in a world very few people will ever truly know, let alone understand. Hes also quite funny. 300 letters is simply not enough to give a rightful praise.
