Dr. Colarusso is without doubt one of the smartest people I've ever met. His CV is insane (Ivy League school educated and an ex-White House advisor to name a few things), and he's unconventionally hilarious. That being said, he's about 10 minutes late to class every day. Lots of reading and coursepack annotating, but if you do that you're solid.

Very impressive and inspirational, his work interested me as I went to find more of his classes, I very much enjoyed the mythology and comparisons as well as learning a lot from this professor. Though it's a tough class it'll be easier just keep up with the readings since to follow along in lectures. Just have or buy all the books, its worth it!

Get Ready to Read, when you do you'll enjoy his amazing lectures even more. Although if you aren't interested in mythology it'll be tough. He is accessible outside of class & he is respectful, caring & gives great feedback in addition to being really funny. Overall, a very good professor, tons to read. He does very impressive work and knows a lot

give him any word out there ad he KNOWS its origins. Linguistics mastermind. HILARIOUS and entertaining, and you wouldn't guess he's about 75. He's super helpful and gives OPEN BOOK tests. The upper year classes are by nature difficult though. Thats why he once raised the whole classes average by 10% !!!

Dr. Colarusso is brilliant. If you do the work and readings then class notes and lectures will be a refresher of what you should already know, and thus should not be confusing. Best professor I ever had (graduated now)

This guy is badass. His knowledge is deep, and he will often give more information than needed, but it's so interesting that it enriches the experience. Coursepack and tests are straightforward. Some texts only for interest (like Rig Veda). Seems a bit intimidating b/c of how much he knows, but talk to him. He's pretty chill. Take this class!

Colarusso is an extremely intelligent man, who knows way more than many professors I've had. BUT, he is a terrible teacher, and is very inconsistent with his notes and lectures. He doesn't so much teach as he just talks and makes scribbles on the board. And as mentionned above, he is always late/misses a lot of class which makes the class suffer.

Clear lectures, all notes in coursepack, tries to make it entertaining - but VERY unreliable. Misses a lot of class. Was 15 mins late on 20% test day. Always tells us "test results will be up by [this date]" or "new notes will be on webct by [this date]" and they never are. Took 2 WEEKS for results of a scantron test and never updated us.

Nice guy, funny. LOVE that he put all the lecture notes in a coursepack. Rest of the books are kind of pricey though. Lectures are very clear. Sounds EXACTLY like Robin Williams !!
