Comment:

Biochem was definitely one of the hardest classes I've taken, but Dr. Hayden is extremely passionate about the course and is extremely knowledgable. His lectures are pretty dry, but hey, it's biochem. You're really only graded on exams and lab, but if you go to his office hours, he'll encourage you to do well.

Comment:

I had Dr. Hayden for cell and his classes were hard to get through- very dry and pretty boring. He gives study guides before exams which cover all the topics on the exam pretty nicely, but the exams are very challenging and long. You have to work very hard in this class, and if you do, it's not impossible.

I loved the course because I love cell biology, so I could teach myself. However he is not very engaging and tough to follow. I really liked him, but he is a tough grader and the class requires a lot of work. He is even harder of a grader in the lab section compared to lecture. Take for lecture, not lab. He really knows his material.

Had him for lecture and lab. He's the smartest person I know. The class was challenging in terms of material and tests. He expects a lot out of you, but I learned a lot in the process. Study hard and pay attention in class. He explains things in a lot of detail but will go over stuff if you need him to.

Dr.Hayden is a very smart and nice man, however his tests are not fair and do not allow you to demonstrate your knowledge. He gives 60% multiple choice but has options A-G making them almost impossible. I would not take him again for any class.

Dr. Hayden is so smart. He knows anything and everything about the cell. His outlines are super helpful. Tests are challenging but fairly represent the material that he outlines. If you study hard, you can do well.

Tests are not bad they come directly from his notes and some lecture material. Very direct no surprises. Most notably if you get to know Dr. Hayden outside class he is the funniest man alive he will always have you on edge with that smile of his. Definitely take him!

he is SUCH a good teacher. BEST to take for cell bio. im not just saying that. He is the teacher that if you memorize all the information will ask clear quetsoins that DONT trip you up like other teachers try to do. They're not SUPER impossible critical thinking questions just straight regurgitation and minimal critical thinking. TAKE HIM

Amazing teacher and by far the sexiest man on the face of the earth. Something about a Patriots sweater covered in chalk and a sweet pair of khakis, it keeps my eyes on him and my ears on glycolysis.

Tests are fair and usually predictable although multiple choice are hard. Lectures are sometimes really fast and confusing but he gives study sheets. He's good in lab too. He's a really smart really nice guy but can be a hard grader (especially in sci. writing) He's the best for cell I think.
