Took his class over the winter sem & it was okay if you are taking this class for gen ed requirement TAKE HIM. His accent is not very clear and not understandable but the PP itself explains everything. His tests are not hard. He ask everything based on PP so make sure you study his PP. There are few labs & 1 Final Project we had to do.

Internet Computing basically web development is a class that is very good if you wish to specialize in this field. Professor Jenq does provide a lot of labs coding HW's that contain several exercises to it. However the labs can be found online, and even in his slides with skeleton/src code! One group project design a website,& coding exam/mc exams.

I really enjoy Dr. Jenq's classes which is why this is the second class of his that I enrolled in. If you put in the work, there is no reason that you shouldn't get an A. Three assignments, one easy research paper and two websites that you need to code in any programming language except PHP. I look forward to taking his graduate level course!

Dr. Jenq was hilarious in my opinion. The tests were multiple choice and there were coding exercise parts of the test that you could do at home the day of the test. Coding assignments were doable. I actually learned a good amount of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and PHP in this class. Attendance not mandatory. One of the easier classes in the major

I recommend taking CSIT with Professor Jenq. I believe his English and accent have improved somewhat over the years, as I didn't find him difficult to understand. Grad assistants appear to handle the grading, although he decides the final grade. He's pretty funny and it's worth it to attend the lectures just for that.

Has a thick accent and is difficult to understand during lectures.. you probably won't learn a thing from them. However, he's a really nice guy and he's very clear about grading, HW, etc. He posts grades and HW on canvas and updates frequently. The exams can be a little tricky. Just make sure you understand the HW and study slides and you're fine.

Dr. Jenq is an extremely intelligent man that will help you to no end if you need it. He is funny, clarifies everything, and gives gentle introductions to topics he knows are difficult. Very forgiving grader, this 4 week class was one of the best experiences I've had at MSU so far. Such an amazing professor, he even feels like a friend.

He's super unclear and does not give great directions, but the class is crazy easy as long as you check blackboard for assignments and due dates. He never answers emails so don't bother. His exams are word for word the hw questions. Labs are super easy as long as you pay attention when he is giving instructions. I would def recommend for an easy A

I can not understand Jenq. The exams are difficult but he does prepare the class properly. It's wrong. We are paying Jeng to teach us but he teaches nothing and then refuses to guides us on exams. He definitely write a challenging exam so why can't he teach class. We are paying to be taught. this is not a game. I am to learn not be ridiculed.

Jenq is very difficult. Tests are confusing and class is not prepared for exams because Jenq is all over the place. does not know how to teach. Prepare a thorough study guide and then your students will succeed. If they succeed you have done the job you have been paid to do.

DOESN'T UPDATE OLD PROJECTS' SUBMISSION DATES CAUSING CONFUSION TO THE CLASS AND FORGETS TO ADD A SUBMISSION LINK IN BB WHERE STUDENTS CAN SUBMIT THEIR FINAL PROJECT. Very, very goofy. People hate him but don't read that, hes a very great guy and is quite easy in grading (the final grade) once you see how hard the material really is. Funny guy, will help you for hours if you need it.

AHH love him! didnt do well on the exams at all but throughout semester i was emailing him about my concern for my grade. He gave me an A. make sure u "seem" concerned. His teaching assistant basically gave me all the answers to our labs! yes you cannot uderstand anything. i thought i was gonna fail my first day but turned out to be great!

Dr. Jenq is the man! This was my second time taking him. Great prof! Yes, he can be alittle hard to understand, however all his assignments and tests are very fair, and he gives ample time to complete them. Textbook use was very low because he gave us power points on all the materials, so save money and don't buy it. Got an A, take him!

Nice guy but cannot teach for the life of him. Directions are always unclear. Can barely understand what he says. Always have to teach yourself what's going on in class. Assignments are always very hard and he doesn't exactly help you. He may push back an assignment once in awhile and drop your lowest grade but he should not be a teacher.

Ok he's a very nice man but but its sometimes impossible to understand him. His labs are easy and if you do all your work even if you get C's on his exam you can still pass with a great grade! He curves the majority of your grade ! Take him.

He's a really nice and funny guy but you can't understand a word he says. The tests are hard because you can't really take notes and end up reading the book. Final project was a 10 min. powerpoint pres. and a paper. Doesn't take attendance but you have to show up for labs which are easy.
