Without question the most engaging professor I have ever had. Actually teaches you the material and expects you to understand it on tests, which are quite difficult. Make sure you take him!

Nicest prof I have ever had. He keeps his lectures fun and interesting. He wrote his own textbook which sold for $15 when it could have sold for over $200. Very clear, to the point. Exams are tricky, but do the homework problems, and a few of the sample finals, and you will ace the course!

This is the best professor I have ever had. I wish he taught everything. The midterm is pretty rough, but if you use his website, there are TONS of old exams with solutions, so you can have lots of practise. The pre-labs are pretty hard, but the lab itself is pretty fun.

I took his course years ago. He is an excelent prof who lives for his students and is always ready to give his all for them. Tough examiner but hi expectations are realistic given the quality of his teaching and his out-of-class availability. A few more profs like him in other courses. and Carleton would be #1. Great sense of humor too.

Cantankerrous old wanker who thinks students should know the course material before they've taken the course. Makes what could be an interesting course torture.

Awesome prof! Comparing him to Tom Ray, I would still probably go with Ray, because I like his teaching style more, but Knight better structures his lectures and the course in general IMHO.

You second year losers (2607 people), first learn how to use toilet paper and then pass comments about Dr. John Knight. Everyone in Ottawa knows him and respects him. How many people know you 2^n type losers? 100/100 for him.

Way too slow-paced - He'll do one simple example for 60 minutes, making you never want to come to class again. But then he'll make you hand in your "homework" problems on random days. Honestly, he'd make a good grade 8 teacher, but come on.
