Had him for HIST 207 last sem., and liked it so much I took HIST 209 with him this semester. My first impression was that he was going to be boring, but he isn't. He's very demanding of his students, but it just means he really challenges you and makes you think. He's very concerned with how well you understand concepts, and he's willing to help.

Great teacher, knows everything there is to know. It gets a little dry sometimes, and you will be writing for the entire class. Won't start class unless everyone is quiet. Do not BS him in the essays and make sure citation and bibliography is perfect. Deserves a raise.

If you are at the college you have to take Native White Relations. It will change the way you think about the world. Great class. Tobias is sometimes monotone and dry but just wait cuz he'll start telling stories and the content that he teaches is amazing!

Kinda boring on occasion, but most of the material is interesting enough to maintain interest. Enjoys asking questions of the students. Very good about giving extensions on deadlines. REALLY knows what he is talking about, and enjoys it when students show they know some too.
