I have had him for several classes. Heard the same stories about punch cards and cranking automobiles in front of trees more times than I wish to remember. You will learn nothing in this class, but you will probably get an A, so if thats all you want I'd suggest you take him.

He may know a lot, but is a horrible teacher. Hard to get the main ideas across, and most of it is very unhelpful. Boring subject, and he makes it worse. After 4 years this class broke my 4.0 GPA.

I disagree with a lot of comments here. He knows what he's talking about. He just doesn't talk on subject. He'll talk about something in computer forensics, which I find very interesting, and then he'll try to tie it back to the subject at hand, often failing miserably. I learned some neat info from his anecdotes though... Oh, tests are wacky!

Not much else I can add. I would disagree that you only need to study 2 hours to pass his exams - did well on exams in this course, but had to read the book twice to do it. Puts questions from his lectures to encourage going to class. Just show up and read the book and you'll do well.

Come on people, if you don't pass this professor you don't belong in Computer Science. His grading scale is 20% you pass, seriously. IT's a joke, show up to class and humor him and yourself. He talks about almost nonsense, but it's funny. You still should pass with at least 2 hours of studying

I got Leeson for CompSci II and III. In CS2, he mainly rambled on with stories and gave several easy assignments. Tests were fairly simple. The Big Project was to write a term paper. Fairly useless class.

Overall, the worst CS teacher at UCF I've had the displeasure of coming across. He doesn't teach any relevant material- he simply tells pointless, and ENDLESS, stories about how he overcame his home networking problem the previous week. Too disorganized

A zany and entusiastic teacher. He jumped around a few times, in terms of topics, especially near the end of the class. But the rest of the time was great. I enjoyed his teaching, and unlike many teachers, he's very approachable. Just do the programs.
