Comment:

Jumps all over the place and clearly HE gets it but has a very hard time explaining it, he tries to help but doesn't very well. Oh and on Mondays he's all calm and the rest of the week is bouncing off the walls. Pot on the weekends the coffee and cigarettes during the week I guess? Try for Strowe he's a much better instructor.

Had hom for Calc II years ago. After the first day, I almost dropped and I was an A student. Then, he got sick and Prof. Strowe filled it. He was amazing. Lewis showed up for the final and wrote the final and there was stuff on there we'd never seen. Totally unfair. Take Strowe if you need over Lewis. Strowe is the best for Calc. He's amazing.

Horrid. I registered late and wasn't able to take placement for Math, got put in this class despite having A's in precalc and calc in HS. I got a B- in this class, it was better for me to NOT attend class other than on test day, he is incredibly confusing. Intelligent guy but a wreck of a person. Moved class room due to tile being 'unwalkable.'

Terrible teacher. He jumps around a lot. He doesn't write out small math steps on the board, he talks it out and makes it's very confusing. He isn't very patient. I started out getting great grades in the class w/ a different professor who was filling in and then he came and my grade drastically dropped. AVOID HIM if possible!

reading these comments saved a lot of time, b/c i can type pages worth of reasons why you SHOULDN'T lewis. seriously, do not take him even if he's your last choice; just wait another semester & pick someone else. but unfortunately some people have to be filled in his class, if so i hope you're a genius who can learn the math stuff on your own.

TERRIBLE!!..do not take him! He made a ton of mistakes on the board. Then after making his mistakes he then gets embarresed and then tries flying through the problem again without explaining himself. I believes it his time in life to try and be smarter than the students then actually teaching. Huge mistake if you take him. He should not be teaching

This guy is a wreck..I feel bad for him. Makes tons of mistakes on the board, bumps into stuff, takes 20 min to get from his car to class, has gas problems.. Only take if you are a math genious, I got an A in high school pre-calc and calculus, and got a B- in this guy's pre-calc class thanks to not understanding half of what he did. Very careless.

Lewis really is not that bad. He does seem a bit frazzled, but if you go to class and do the homework and really study for the tests then you will do reasonably well. Also, if you ever need help he is more than willing to help and always answers questions at the beginning of every class, no matter how long it takes.

Mr. Lewis is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He was 30 mins late on the first day of school, & is randomly late other days. In class, it's almost like he's just explaining everything to himself. NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS!!! Also, he doesn't give any reviews. Don't choose him as a teacher for any class. You can thank me later.

THE WORST! I would NEVER recommend him to anyone even my worst enemy. He shows up 20 minutes late all of the time if he shows up at all. He wastes time in class on problems that you will never see on the tests. He is extremely unorganized and unless you are a mathematical genius do not waste your time in his class.

This guy is a complete wreck. He has no idea how to convey concepts to students in stupid people terms. His classes are very unorganized and he often times makes mistakes. Everyone in the class gets lost easily. His way of beginning the class: "Anyone have any questions?"

Horrible teacher, never take him if you have a choice. Hard to follow in class, makes rude remarks on tests, and is just a bad teacher. He doesnt take time to teach stundents how to do things he just assumes you know how to do everything.

This professor was my first professor and worst. He is always lost and confuses us all the time till he finds himself somewhere with his sloppy handwriting. I regret big time taking a upper level class with him. His exam's are kind of confusing if u dont read the book, they r nothing compared to his boring lectures.

Absolutely terrible. He may know calc but can't explain it to save his life. He made difficult concepts incomprehensible. His notes on your exams are so rude you would think you killed his mother. He takes away points for missing stupid notations when he makes the same mistakes (if not more) in class, then blames it on his glasses or other nonsense

He's way too smart to be teaching Math 090. Many of the people in my class complain that he isn't teaching them the things they didn't learn in middle school. He doesn't explain things clearly for the mathematically challenged. He constantly makes small mistakes which he blames on shadows or his glasses, and trips over the podium pretty regularly.

Lewis is by far the worst teacher I've had in my college career. He was constantly going off on tangents that had no application to the class what-so-ever. If you get a problem wrong on an exam he makes you feel like you purposefully made a mistake to spite him. The best students in my class were pulling low B's. Avoid this prof at all costs!
