Very nice, and tells you what you need to know. He pretty much lets you run free. He gives you a list of what you need to have done, and lets you go from there. He's not in the class much, but doesn't really need to be. People were more free with their art when he wasn't there watching. Great guy!

John is probably the nicest professor ever. He is super talented. He just wasnt in the class too much. I felt lost at times because he was never there to show us what to do. But it was really laid back and easy to get a good grade. I wish John all the happiness in his retirement!

I love this class! There is no pressure to do a set amount of work and if you want to do more than just the assignment, it's ok. I love that John doesn't pressure you to comform to a certain style like other teachers. He lets you be creative. Excellent class!

Awesome guy. Very interesting. Class is relaxed and no time limitations, you can leave one hour into class or two hours after. Very fun. Ask John about his Car paintings. They're amazing!

This is another one of those classes you have to take...I am glad I did. John is great!!! He is not hard at all - it is a great class to relax in! Never feel like you are in a rush to complete an assignment. I think he's the best art teacher Delta had!!! TAKE HIM!!!

i came into this class knowing more about ceramics than he does. he is a painter, he should not be teaching ceramics to serious ceramic students. the original ceramics teacher moved to africa or something, so this is a basics class.
