This class is a complete waste of 50 minutes every week. He says attendance is mandatory to come in and listen to some speakers, but I missed about half the classes, and BS'ed these blog posts that he makes you do on sakai, and I still received an A for the course. Pelesko seems like a nice dude though

Had him for Perspectives. Aside from the speakers coming in and talking about undergrad research and possible job markets, the class was a waste of time. Just make sure to attend all the classes and do all your blog posts and you're guaranteed an A.

Pretty cool professor. Grades fairly easily. Helpful. Go to every class and read all the readings he posts and you'll do fine. Two majors essay's 40%. Two major presentations 25%. 3 Tests, all open note, based on readings 25%. 10% of grade is homework and quizzes. No final. Is not a typical history course, does not follow time line.

Don't take his class! You spend the entire semester doing pointless projects that have nothing to do with class and he doesn't believe in partial credit. His only positive point is when he decides to teach he is thorough, but that's like 1-2 days a week.
