Comment:
He's a great guy and a great professor. He tends to ramble a lot but he usually gets through all the necessary material. Note that attendance is mandatory and the 4 four unexcused absences are worth 10% of your grade and then any absence after those will drop you a letter grade so if you're going to take his class then you'd better show up.

He was such a nice professor! He works very hard at getting everyone to understand the concepts and themes of every book. The class itself is extremely interesting, even if you haven't had a particular interest in Sci-fiFantasy before. Basically, you read cool books and discuss them. The midterm and the final were not hard at all.

I thought his class was easy but, at the end, he changed my grade from an A to a C because he felt that I could've done more. He then tried to say that I missed a session when he knew that I went to all of them, plus an extra. He is old and senile and I would not recommend him to anybody.

To be honest this prof is the most unorganized, rambling old man CMU has on the payroll. You will not learn anything in his class and will be confused every time you attend class. Make sure that you attend every class as you can only miss up to 4 class days before he gives you a (C- or lower). To safe yourself do not take this prof. for ENG 201.

He is by far the best ENG professor there is! By far the least amount of papers and writing material required for this class compared to others! He is SUPER nice and very willing to help outside of class time if you do miss anything! DEFINITELY recommend taking him!

This required english class is so easy. Easier than 101 and Pfeiffer just makes you show up for class. You have to write a bit but it's not about the content of your paper it's about how they are edited, formatted and sourced. Like any english class there are about 8ish assignments that make up your grade but all are relatively simple.

Very easy, but I learned nothing. He is a very nice man but does not have relevant lectures and has crazy standards for the format of your essays. Easy class, many optional days, but very spacey.

IF YOU GO TO EVERY CLASS THIS IS THE EASIEST ENGLISH CLASS EVER, and i suck at eng.. He follows everything buy a specific rubric and the only way you will know it is by going to class. Attendance is mandatory anyways but im telling you, GO TO CLASS and you will get an A. The work load in this class is very minimal compared to other 201 classes.

This man is completely useless. Describes things in the syllabus over and over again, and I still don't get it. Papers are ENTIRELY rubric, so I ended up worrying about format 100x more than what I was actually writing. Awful man if you want to learn and just want to do your homework and get it over with. Nice guy, HORRIBLE PROFESSOR!

Nice guy, but he talks about nothing all class. Assignments aren't too difficult and the syllabus is contains everything you need to know for every assignment. Attendance is mandatory, but there are a lot of optional days. I've had worse teachers. Don't be alarmed if you have him. You'll manage.

He was ok, really nice guy. It's just that he never seemed to get his point across. Always got off track and then you didn't learn anything. It was so hard to study for the midterm cause he never talked about any of it in class!

This guy was awful he taught me-nothing! girls, if you wanna pass this class just wear a low cut shirt and a very short skirt. guys you actually hafta do work, and the worst part is i did a lotta work, and still didn't get an A. He is a waste of space, and should be replaced by a real professor who's willing to actually teach instead of babysit.

Very easy class and gives several days off during the semester. You can revise papers, but isn't very clear on what exactly he wants changed. Also will not learn anything that can be used outside of the classroom.

I had him for Fantasy and Sci-Fi. He's SUCH a nice guy, just a sweet old guy, but he made the class really boring. He would start on one topic at the beginning of class, then get off track, and then end up back where he started at the end of class. He's very easy, very nice, but not the most interesting of professors.

He really knows his stuff and is prone to go off on many different subjects that seem to have no relation to the topic. If you like learning about everything, then he's a great prof. to have. He is helpful and gives a lot of extra credit. You have to be patient and willing to learn, not just there for the grade or the requirement.

He is slow and has a hard time describing assignments but ask questions, make sure you understand whats goin on. Class is easy and you can revise papers to get a better grade. He also gives days off for workshops, days off are always good.

Professor Pfeiffer is a wonderful professor! He is meticulous about how he wants papers done and put together, but as long as you follow what he says you will do really well. Also for many of his papers you get to revise it and turn it in to boost your initial grade. Attendance for the most part is required but there are many days he gives off.
