Incredibly disorganized and unclear during lectures. Looked completely disinterested to teach the course. Wasted half the lecture with pointless rants about his personal life or popular culture. At least the content was easy enough to teach myself, or else I wouldn't have passed.

Poor writing & drawing skills. Talks too quietly. Forces his students to buy and use his notes package, which is full of mistakes. Doesn't follow any kind of logical order for material, and doesn't do many examples. Easy but boring class, with a better prof you wouldn't have to do any work to get a good grade.

Typed up notes have an incredible amount of mistakes. Never went to class, he seemed disorganized. Go to any review classes he has, and last class before an exam. Overall he was a bad professor, but this was a super easy A+.

Funny prof in a cynical way. Hand-written notes can be disorganized but he has course pack that contains all the useful materials. Despite his demeanor in class, he is actually very helpful during office hours and quite a nice guy. The midterm was okay but he is known for making difficult finals, as was shown in this course. Overall, a good prof!

Laziest prof ever, who doesn't care about his students. His teaching isn't utterly useless, but towards the end his lectures turned into him dictating your own textbook to you. Cynical humour keeps class interesting, "did he just say what I think he said?". Fairly easy course though.

Power |= Jobs; But Work*Time = Money; Now, from Physics, Power = Work/Time = Money/Time^2. From Business, we have Time = Money, leaving us with Power = Money/Money^2 = 1/Money. To get Money, we need Jobs, so Money = Jobs. At last, we find out that Power = 1/Money = 1/Jobs. Meaning Power = Unemployment. Anyone ever in his class will understand this.

Dr. Salmon was a fairly good prof and was funny at times. Notes were somtimes disorganized. Exams were fair. Willing to help when approached in office and answered emails pretty fast. Did enough examples in class/seminars to help with homework and exam prepping. Really funny at times when he expresses his almost cynical view of life. Overall, good!

"Women will leave you, your kids won't come to visit, but circuits will always be there for you." Good on amps and first-order filters, bad on high-order opamp filters and AD/DA. Explains well, but if you don't understand he acts as though the answer should be obvious and doesn't give much more help. Short office hours and is rarely in office.

Not a bad prof and sometimes funny. He could be more willing to do questions asked in class on the board. Overall lectures and seminars worked well with each other. Seminars were used mainly to show us how to solve problems, which was helpful. Assignment dates were all over the place, and office hours were short. There is room for improvement.

I have 3 words to describe him - funny,helpful,accomodating.His witty remarks during class keeps us interested and on our toes for something better each time. Exams are easy so you might not want ENGG PHYS guys in class coz then the avg shoots up! Assignments are OK. His favourite line is "Power means Jobs"..Now I dont know how true it is..

He is a good prof,makes learning fun and above all he is hillarious(with captial H). I took 350 with him n notes were wateva but equations were easy to follow same with 431 so he tends to make us save money when its comes to textbooks... Overall an AWESOME Prof.

Such a bitter, cynical, yet hilarious prof. Sympathizes with students ! Notes are a bit hard to follow, but makes circuits easy -- gives easy-to-follow methods. Just don't get on his bad side. Sometimes has mood swings.

This guy is so funny its scary. He's a good prof, too. Everyone said that 350 was 10x harder than 340, but really, except for the last 2-3 weeks, thanks to this guy, that is false. he also teaches ee431 power electronics, but i havent taken that
