He is a very smart lecturer. If you are not good at math you might have problem following his lectures. Exams are not hard at all if you have attended lectures and solved textbook problems. The homework is unfortunately heavy and time consuming. He is lazy to answer emails, but if you go to his office he will be very helpful.

Rozmus teaches physics from first principles like it should be taught. Very smart man, and will open your mind and make you excited about physics. Lectures cover difficult but rewarding material and examples. Tests are fair! Great prof for PHYS 230

Yeah without a doubt this prof just .... is bad.. he's extremely un-organized goes back and forth changing the examples and such and cannot explain his examples what so ever and his notes are just garbage you're better off reading the text book..

Homework is hard and lectures mainly consist of complicated derivations.

Comment:
EXCEPTIONALLY difficult homework which went above and beyond the class material -- not that he ever did anything other than difficult derivations -- it routinely took 5+ hours to complete his assignments (on QM), even working in groups of students. The class really took a turn for the worse after the final. The midterm was two questions. Avoid!

People can hate on him all they want, but Rozmus is a very smart man. His lectures involved derivations of some very tough concepts. The problem surrounds the fact that this class involves teaching solutions to Schrödinger's PDE to physics students who have never taken a class on DE's. The math is very heavy and requires conceptual understanding.

Doesn't have any sample midterms or finals, not good at explaining materials. I have to study from the textbook for all chapters. Avoid if possible.

Made me dread coming to class to a subject that at the start of the semester I was eager to learn about. Lectures are difficult to follow at the best of times. He just derived all the equations with math that no one in my year had been exposed to yet and droned on. Unfortunately he is unavoidable.

*facepalm* If you ever have him as a prof... well... it's unlikely that you'll have any other option. As there's usually only one section of the course per year. So be stong, be brave, and may the curve be with you.

This class under Rozmus can be likened to the most brutal slaughter of the most beautiful animal. What's on the exam? Here's the course outline, formula sheets? No. Illegible notes, sarcastic, no help, boring lectures filled with derivations way over our heads. There is only one thing anyone knows for sure: Rozmus is lazy.(No bashing, just truth).
