Dr. Swetits was my favorite teacher at ODU. I like the way he posted the notes on his webpage for you to print out prior to class. It allowed me to concentrate more on what he ws saying without having to worry about writing down everything.

He is brilliant at math, but only average at teaching. My problem with him is that he puts garbage questions on the tests.He tests on stuff that isn't covered in book. Also his cumulative final was much harder than the tests building up to it. He must curve though because I got a B, but my test scores didn't get me there.

This class was extremely hard. I relied heavily on my friend to tutor me in the subject otherwise I would have failed. Throwing derivatives up on the board doesn't equal teaching. If you can take it with a better professor please do!

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Had to take calc 1 all over again because of him. I learned nothing, barely passed. When I took calc again (at a different school), I got a flying A, and actually learned what calculus is all about. If you need to take more calc than one semester, take someone ELSE and actually learn the material!

Mr. Swetits is a great teacher. He helps anyone with a question (no matter how dumb it is). However, his tests are a bit weird. First off, he teaches everything in class on the book, but then the tests are something completely different from the class.
