I'm not sure what to say about this class except, do not take it if you are an undergrad taking 3 or more other classes. This class is absolutely a grad level class and shouldn't be offered to undergrads unless it's literally their only class. The tests are take home and a complete nightmare. Notes are posted, but good luck and Godspeed my friend.

taking Applied Complex Vars, he has notes you can download online. What he does on the board doesn't always match downloaded notes. Unreadable board notes micro print + you need a decoder ring for 1/4 alphabet (x = 2 unconnected c's, y = upside down h, k = x) Offers HW problems, not graded, but it sounds like 95% test comes from downloaded notes.

Took him for a 6 week calc class. Flies through the materials, but he gave extra credit to help the class pass. Great teacher, but you'll have to work to get through his class.

Tests are easy if you know what's going on. Explains things in a very theoretical manner. Ties in to real life problems only a little at first but more later on. Office hours are very limited but he's very helpful. Know your trig!!!

Very fast note giver, has a tendancy to ask if anyone has any questions and then go on when no on does.... not knowing that the class is still about 2 boards behind him on taking notes.

He is real straight forward, and answers questions straight without any b.s. Pretty helpful during office hours and his tests were 95% from the notes. Sometimes he gives curve balls on the test but the rest is right out the notes. Real to the point, if you have him prepare to work VERY HARD. My arm is still sore from writing pages of notes.

The class was very interesting and his notes were a HUGE help. I didn't need to even open the textbook because his notes were very thorough. He answered all the questions, stupid or not and he was always very helpful. Of course, like any other summer class, I had to study 4-5 hours/day in order to keep up. but you cannot blaim Dr Tweed for that

The worst math teacher i have ever had. No explanations, he just flies through the material so quick you dont have a chance to ask a question. When you do get a question in he makes you feel dumb for asking it. Avoid his class at all costs. I wish someone would have told me this before i signed up for his class.

I passed by the skin of my teeth, his class is all theory. Scottish, and extremely intelligent, but I feel as if I missed two semesters somewhere, he can't come down to our level.

He's very good and very helpful. His tests are not hard at all. He posts a sample test and the test is based on that sample test, so... no surprises or very hard problems on tests!!!

Liked him a lot more before I got my grade back for my final. Walked in with a B and crawled out with a C-. That final was absolutely ridiculous. Nice guy, good teacher(fast), but he is hard.
